Mine would hesitate and fall on the floor. I had taken it in 3 times previous for a TCM reprogram. The picture is what was done the last time. It would not shift out of 2nd gear sometimes and it went into a limp mode. Same kind of problems going up hills as other users have complained.

That doesn’t sound good. New valve body not a huge surprise it happens to some with all the parts that make it up, but starting to fail again makes you wonder if something else is wearing a part and its ending up in the valve body causing damage to the valve body. Bad valve body is going to cause all kinds of bad issues. Sounds like you are destined for a new transmission. If they go there be sure they give you all new with new TC and a good flush of cooler, and tell them you want to have an interview with the mechanic assigned as you don’t want a junior tech learning on your truck, and get a loaner truck not some tiny car.

Good thing we have the 5/100 warranty and I am still keeping my fingers crossed. Stuff like a trans that makes it a few years or more than 50K will probably last as long as could be expected. As I shopped the trans was my biggest worry, however wasn’t a deciding factor as it seems like all the manufactures are experiencing the same types of issues. Might just be transmissions are getting too complex for their own good.

Yea it is just frustrating. Even though its all covered under warranty, my dealer extended mine to 7yr/100k, I still have to unload all my stuff out of my truck every time i drop it off. Thats the frustrating part. I dont work at the dealership, so after having to do this 4 times it starts to become an inconvenience.

The other frustrating part is that my truck is a tow rig for my landscape company. Last time I dropped it off they tried to give me a regular cab Titan, which also doesn’t work for me bc i have a 6mo old that has to be in a car seat in the back seat. So I have had a sentra, rogue, and muranos as loaners.

Also….this is the 12th Nissan my family has owned. My dad has owned 9 Maximas, my mom drove an Altima, and Ive had a Sentra and a 350z. We never had any problems. My dad had to replace the cats on 1 of his Maximas after 300k and that was it.

Hopefully somebody from Nissan will read this. I mean, I could meet somebody from corporate at their office to discuss getting me a new truck bc I Do live in Nashville right down the street from North America Headquarters…….Just a thought?
