A relaxing base camp for your next island a… – vrbo electricity kwh calculator

Located in the secure tropical garden setting of the Sundancer community, our condo has a warm, comfortable atmosphere. The kitchen with its granite counter and undermount sink, has everything you will need to prepare a gourmet island dinner; the living room has comfortable rattan furniture and a flatscreen TV; the spacious screened veranada with its large ceiling fan is perfect for relaxing and al fresco dining away from any bugs. Two bedrooms each equipped with double beds and new ultra-quiet air conditioners.

Sandy Bay is well located between the amenities of Coxen Hole (airport, supermarkets, fresh seafood, handicrafts, and open air markets), West End with its fun night life along with many restaurants and bars and West Bay Beach – one of the ten best beaches in the Caribbean.

There is a local bar/restaurant and dive shop, Blue Island Divers, just down the beach! Our staff of local islanders will pick you up at the airport upon arrival to Roatan, answer any questions you may have, and return you to the airport for your departure. This condo has 24/7 security.

We just arrived back from a 2 week stay in what we referred to as the "tree house". The Sundancer area is small and quiet and the condo was perfect for our needs. The pier was a regular hangout location to jump off of, snorkel to the amazing reef, meet new friends and watch the sunset. The Salty Mango restaurant is close and the food and staff are amazing. Having a car allows you to tour the island, we especially enjoyed West End, Daniel Johnson Sloths and Monkeys and BlackPearl golf course. We really enjoyed the pre-made arrangements for airport pick up and drop off. Ron and Erica were fantastic and we arranged a island tour with Ron which was focused on the East end of the island where majority of the residents of Roatan live. We highly recommend the tour as you see how the local live. Ron stopped at Eldons grocery store on the way to the condo and its very North American focused and had a lot of familiar brands. We also enjoyed buying fruit off the small stands in the West end. Both West Bay & West End have a variety of restaurants. The pool is a great place to relax also, lots of wildlife to view and listen too. The environment around the condo is very jungle like and keeps the condo cool. All the ceiling fans help to keep the air moving and the dryer comes in real handy to dry your towels. We arranged thru Erica a house keeper to come in half way thru. We enjoyed our time on the island and will return one day. Our only recommendation is to have portable chairs available to take down to the pier.

When we arrived we were picked up at the airport and taken to the grocery store. We bought for breakfast & lunch and spent about $125. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed to prepare breakfast & lunch. It also had some spices for seasoning available. When we arrived we were greeted by Erica who gave us a walk through of the house. It’s a short walk to the water and the private dock where you can snorkel from. You can swim to the reef just make sure you can be seen by boats who also use the space to get to the dive spots. Blue Island Divers is 2 doors down and have an excellent operation with dive masters Ernesto, Laura and Yago (he was headed back to Spain so I’m not sure he will be there). This is where we spent our days. We could walk back to the house for lunch. Initially at night we took taxis and it ran $2 per person each way into West End. We rented our own car on Tuesday which I highly recommend. We no longer had to wait at the road or haggle over fares. We took a drive down the island to French Harbour and Jonesville. Absolutely beautiful and shouldn’t be missed! We didn’t spend a lot of time in the house but there are 2 bedrooms each with full size beds and a/c for sleeping it was very comfortable. The living room has a small tv, wicker love seat and 2 chairs. There is also a table that sits 4. We ran the A/C at night when we got back home and washed/dried 3 loads of laundry and it was just $20 for electricity. I think this is the perfect way to charge your customers. Why pay more per night if you don’t use it. 3B in Sundowner suited us perfectly! If you are looking for a comfortable place to lay your head at night this is the place for you. We can’t wait for our next trip to Roatan. Cassie & Tim thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

The property is beautifully landscaped and maintained…set back from the main road just far enough to be quiet…we loved the screened in porch especially and sat out there for hours relaxing, eating, listening to the birds, and enjoying quiet, peaceful time when we werent out having adventures. We enjoyed swimming off the dock and out to the reef and the private dock was a popular sunset location for other renters/owners in other units…basically there are homes built with 2-4 rentals in each…nice amenities…space between so there is privacy and beautiful jungle views and a peak of the water from our bedroom. We cooked most of our meals and appreciated the full size fridge so we didn’t have to grocery shop very often. We brought some very light weight carry bags/packs to transport our groceries…and learned to take the collectivos or group taxis instead of the more expensive taxis…plus they went to little village areas we wouldn’t have seen otheriwse. The bathroom had consistent hot water and plenty of space…plus other guests had left a few personal care items like sunscreen or basic first aid supplies..we added a little, too…the property was clean and well maintained and help was just a call away if we needed anything. We were not bothered by barking dogs or proud crowing roosters, although we were quite entertained by a mama hen and her little tiny chicks.

The nearby dive shop and restaurant there were friendly and the food was outstanding…we only went for late breakfasts or lunch and enjoyed banana pancakes and the best burritos ever. We also enjoyed using the snorkeling gear and not having to rent or haul ours..plus the internet and cable TV were nice some evenings…we never needed the AC at all…we loved Roatan and hope to return…and would choose this unit again for sure…if we don’t move there first! thanks to Tim and Cassie for making this a dream vacation for us.
