This was our second trip to India gas pain in shoulder. We booked the tour with The Delhi Way based on the many very positive reviews we read, and we were delighted we signed up for it. It was an unbelievable, unforgettable, and authentic experience. We were punctually t gasthuys picked up at our hotel, and we started our urban adventures with a visit to the famous staircase-well ‘Agrasen ki Baoli’ in New Delhi. This was followed with a visit to a place in which people called ‘dhobis’, hand wash clothes by beating them against concrete slabs. From here we drove to the entrance to Old Delhi, and we were taken in a three-wheeler to the starting point of our walking tour from which we set out to explore the old gasbuddy town. Prianka -our guide- took us to practically every corner. We walked through a labyrinth of very narrow, noisy and animated alleyways, where we were enveloped by hundreds of people walking and also hanging out in the lanes, street vendors, rickshaws and motorbikes. Our 12-year old was awestruck by the human throngs and the maze of tangled electricity cables. As we walked and passed by beautiful Mughal monuments, temples, centuries old townhouses, havelis and mansions, we could always smell the inviting rich aroma of various kinds of Indian food being prepared, so we could not resist and stopped at one food stall and sample the samosas. After a few intense hours of walking, we finished our visit to Old Delhi at the biggest mosque in India: Jama Masjid, and completed our tour with a suculent lunch at ‘Desi Vibes m power electricity Restro Bar’, and a visit to the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the biggest Sikh place of worship in New Delhi. There we visited the kitchen where we saw volunteers and workers cooking vegetarian meals for anyone who wanted to eat: absolutely free !!. We had such an amazing and fun day with Prianka, and we were lucky to have her as our tour guide. She is fantastic conversationalist, enthusiastic astrid y gaston lima menu prices and passionate, and very knowledgeable about the city, its history, and the Indian culture. We most definitely recommend THE DELHI WAY for your next tour of the city, and Prianka as your tour guide.
