Super cute waterfront cabins at reasonable prices. They take a while to get to, going down long dirt roads rather far from the beaten path, but that’s half of the appeal right there. We spent three days of our Honeymoon at Barnacle Hill and loved every minute of it.

The cabin (and the four others similar to is on the property) overlook the sound and have plenty of individual amenities for each cabin. Although there are five cabins in close proximity, they all have a decent degree of privacy, with this one being the most private as it is set back from the other four by a bit. This cabin had a wood burning stove for the interior heat, and had plenty of pre-chopped firewood at the ready. The Wood stove takes some getting used to, and by the second day we were able to figure out how to make it toasty without being crazy hot. The water heater is also run off of the stove, which we were never able to get working right. Propane cook top and a fridge are older but perfectly functional. There is a lovely little fire pit just outside the cabin as well.

Beautiful rocky beaches just feet away, with plenty of places to explore during lower tides. Have a quick-ish drive over to Sieku to pick up some amazing fresh caught fish and enjoy the town’s Co-Op, or stop in Port Angeles on your way over to pick up some supplies. This is an absolutely perfect spot for the individual or small family that is willing to put a bit of effort into their vacation. You have to cook, build a fire if you want heat, plan ahead a bit as there is very little right around the property. The town of Joyce about 5 miles away has a interesting general store for anything last minute.
