Beautiful, relaxing, and wonderful service! – review of sea dance resort, bophut – tripadvisor electricity shock in the body

My husband and I ended our honeymoon in Thailand with a 3-night stay at Seadance, and we can comfortably say we would stay here again! The staff was fantastic, especially Faith and Helen (and several others whom I regret not catching their names), and Poy (the owner) knew me by name even when we hadn’t had extended conversations. They helped us navigate the island during our relatively short stay.

The amenities were fantastic. We had a seaview villa with a plunge pool, and it was wonderful. They even decorated our bed for our honeymoon. Clean room and pool with a beautiful view. We lost electricity at one point, and the staff had it fixed within 5 minutes of us calling. My only recommendation would be a bit better sealing of the door – there was a crack, which allowed some small bugs in. However they provide you with a bug-zapper, and overall it was not a problem. They restocked complimentary water everyday, and had a beach bag, flip flops, umbrellas, flashlight, slippers, and robes for guests to use. We were never short on shower or beach towels. There are several places at the resort for you to hang out and relax – at your villa, beside the pool, at the restaurant, on the beach, or in hammocks near the beach. They would often bring around complimentary alcoholic popsicles (delicious). They would often bring around complimentary alcoholic popsicles (delicious). They also had complimentary paddle boards and kayaks for guests to use, which we took advantage of – the beach had easy access to the sea, and there was only an occasional longtail boat that would go by. It was extremely quiet and relaxing, and an easy 10 minute ride from the airport. Finally, the food and drinks at the restaurant were fantastic. They were reasonably priced for the area, and the service was spectacular. We especially enjoyed the passion fruit mojito, however their other drinks were great. Breakfast is included and served from 7-10:30 with options for everyone. If you don’t want to eat here, they will help you with restaurant recommendations. For snacks, there is a 7 Eleven a 5 minute walk up the road. Overall, I would highly recommend Seadance – not only was it perfect for our honeymoon, but there were several families and other couples staying. It is perfect for any type of vacation. Waking up in a wonderfully comfortable bed looking out onto your plunge pool and sea view was such a lovely experience. From the moment we arrived we felt everything was perfect. The villas are dotted about surrounded by palm trees and foliage. Our villa was so stylish and well arranged. Fresh fruit was provided in the room on arrival. The pool area is lovely – just in front of the beach and with tranquil zen music playing. The beach (although not soft underfoot) was a white crescent with a swing attached to a tree. The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and the breakfasts were delicious with a variety of fruits, yoghurt, cereal, pastries and the usual hot dishes. An egg chef promptly cooked up any variety of egg and brought it to your table. The evening meals were the best food we had in the whole of Thailand. We indulged in the massages available in the spa and the ladies certainly worked our bodies!! Poy even arranged transport to the sister hotel City Dance in Chaweng for Song Kran, the water festival. When we asked to arrange a taxi on the way home, he asked one of his staff to drive us back to Sea Dance. All the staff were so friendly including Faith and Helen, the cocktail waitor and everyone in the restaurant. The Phil Collins song "It’s just another day for me and you in Paradise" kept going through my mind. Can’t wait to return.
