Beautifully and artistically maintained family owned hotel – the best !! – review of hotel napoleon, rome – tripadvisor gas block install

This Classic Hotel is in close proximity to The Coloseum and other Magnificent sites within walking distance. It is also within close proximity to Rome Termini Central Railroad Station which made it extraordinarily convenient for my arrival and rest. The Metro Station is literally outside the door also. I loved the neighborhood for it’s many cheap yet scrumptious eats and it was much less touristy than some areas which afforded me an excellent start to my Rome trip. The staff which is mostly one family highly impressed me with their professional courtesy – of the ranks that I have only experienced at places like the Ritz Carlton. The design includes original fine art works dating all the way back to the 1700’s and there is even a grand piano and gallery in the main parlor which is huge. Breakfast was excellent and staff was lovely and friendly. Room design and décor was finely detailed. Mattresses and Bedding were spotless. Bathrooms were design. A lovely place indeed. Thank You !!! We have traveled somewhat…and we just spent 12 nights in this wonderful hotel! Everyone is so friendly, so helpful. Our room was delightful! We had a sitting room, two double doors out to our own balcony, a little room to store your luggage with places to store it and pull out the contents to hang or fold on shelves. That was a nice touch! The bathroom was very large and we loved the new blue tile on the floor and the blue and white design that ran up the walls. There were actual linen hand towels! There is a large room near the lobby to just sit and relax with newspapers and magazines and beautiful statues and paintings. A real bright spot was the breakfast buffet that comes with the room! Painted in lovely yellows with tablecloths to match. There is every kind of food to please all cultures. The staff could not be nicer. Roberto Lombardi got us reservations into places you would normally wait days for! The Metro is right outside the door. Roberto arranged for us to have a driver meet us at the airport. Needless to say, we both came away very spoiled! Thank you, Napoleon Staff, for the outstanding service! Oh, forgot to mention that the famous Fassi Family Gelato place is within walking distance…we visited it every day!

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights last week. I found the location to be very good, as there is a Metro stop right outside the front door, and the hotel is only one stop away from Termini Station. This made getting around Rome very easy for us as first time visitors unfamiliar with the city. Our room was for the most part clean and comfortable. Having a balcony was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Front desk service was excellent – they were very helpful with arranging for taxis whenever we needed one, and they also arranged for our laundry to be done during our stay. I did notice a few very minor quirks with the room cleaning service: for example, the second day, they took the (open and used) hotel soaps from the soapdishes – but did not replace with new bars of soap. Another day, they took away the used bath towels but forgot to leave a new bathmat. That being said, I consider these very minor issues, compared to the excellent service we received from the front desk, and I would absolutely recommend Hotel Napoleon to other travelers.

We used this hotel twice in April to ‘bookend’ our holiday while visiting other parts of Italy. Reception – most courteous. The Superior room excellent and spacious – useful when you just want to spread out suitcases to avoid unpacking for a one or two night stay.Restaurant and bar comfortable and good value with large well decorated lounge area. The Saturday night 90 minute cocktail hour was a really generous gesture from the owner – something not experienced in any other city hotel. Sorry that the owner was not present to thank personally. The hotel location is convenient for walking to all the city sights comfortably. Why 4 stars and not 5. The only downside is that the hotel entrance is within a covered arcade that attracts some of the city’s lowlife. This accounted for my wife’s nervous feelings when passing through, specially at night. I feel sorry for the owner who no doubt has made many appeals to the authorities to clean up the area without success. We have stayed previously at a close by hotel with less comfortable public areas, but in a more attractive location including pavement and roof relaxation areas. If / when we do return to Rome we are undecided which hotel to choose as both offer value for money

Our recent trip to Italy ended with a four night stay at the Hotel Napoleon. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Fabio greeted us warmly and the bellman who took our luggage pointed out important things along the way to our room (bar!!, breakfast room!!). Our room was comfortable and the air-conditioning (much needed since it was quite warm in Rome) worked excellently. Breakfast was good and staff in the breakfast room helpful and friendly. Barman Piero was friendly and helpful with suggestions and directions. The owner, Signore Roberto Cioce, entertained his guests at a cocktail event one night and personally visited with everyone present. Location of this hotel is ideal, with a Metro stop right at the door, connecting you to Termini station where you can catch the other Metro line or any of the buses which serve Rome. Also within walking distance of many important sites, great restaurants and nearby gelato outlets. We definitely recommend Hotel Napoleon to anyone visiting Rome.
