Our pick up from our hotel was smooth ( if expensive for India), and our boat was waiting. Our boat was called Honeydew. It was all as expected. Not five electricity 3 phase vs single phase star but wholly adequate. The cabin was spacey and the bed comfortable with crisp clean sheets. The food. Well, the food! Just brilliant. No alcohol on board but possibly you could email the owner about this in advance if you’re desperate.Kerala is a muslim area. A good experience for the leisure traveller who wishes to get the best of the backwaters, lake front stays, plenty of light and air, personalized attention and amazing vistas. By now most of us know the backwaters of Alleppey are done with electricity tattoo book crowded and the jostle for space is very much visible. Bekal offers very similar experiences, but in a much more quieter (not sure how long it will remain that way) surrounding in the midst of mesmerizing sights of palm trees swaying for endless kilometers through out the 9gag nsfw length of the cruise. We chose to stay overnight to get a full set of experiences from a sunset cruise to a mid water night anchoring all the way to the sumptuous breakfast in the sunrise before reluctantly getting off board 🙂 My journey from booking to advance payments to the travel and the actual stay was well taken care of by Manoj (the man in charge) and last but not the least the 3 dedicated guys who managed the house boat, the kitchen and the housekeeping. Some of the obvious positives: – Food was amazing (the breakfast was divine nostalgic) – Choice of fresh up electricity bill payment online catch preparations were really nice – The room was cozy and well kept – The boat itself was small and electricity facts label compact and not massive or intimidatingly luxurious. – The water was simply pristine. – The never ending supply of greenery and fresh air all the while floating and chilling. – No crowds in the rivers or scenery was clean – Easy payment options made life easier – My wife and child felt safe and well taken care of all through out. – Customize your preferences and make sure to spell out your particular tastes if any. Just to make sure they are well prepared for your visit. A few of the downsides: – Prices in general are on the higher side even on a low season, especially since there was a Taj booking cheaper than this one in the area at that time electricity and magnetism worksheets 4th grade 🙂 – The value for money spent maybe debatable. – Single boat and lots of demand meant we had to come late and get out soon. – Difficulty of access to Nileshwaram and Kasargod in general which is cut off from the larger parts of touristic Kerala.

This was our 1st house-boat stay and I must say its a must-do. Mr. Manoj was highly flexible and responsive in getting the overnight package suited to our flight timings. We got on-board around 3 pm and google maps is spot-on with the directions to the starting points. It was a 1 bed-room house-boat gas under a dollar with a deck with a small dining table. The crew consisted of the jovial a shell gas station near me captain Krishnan, a cook and a helper. The cook was the only one who understood Hindi/English. The cruising along the river submerged inside nature was pure bliss. After chai-pakora (what else can one ask for!), we disembarked to enjoy an hour at the beach. After thoroughly enjoying the sand and waves, we started again and finally anchored around 6:30 pm. There are just 5-6 other boats around. Dinner v gashi was good and had good variety (as vegetarians we were not sure but it was fine). After a good sleep and another cruise in the morning we were served breakfast. This was the only negative point (if it can be said so). More variety is needed here. Finally we checked out around 9 am after creating wonderful memories. Even though the house-boat stay was an after-thought on our trip, for the kids it was the highlight of the trip!
