Best vacation ever! – review of ocean club resort, providenciales, turks and caicos – tripadvisor electricity billy elliot

The location from the beach was Ahhmazing! Bonus, the resort had toys for kids. It looked like they were gathered toys from others that left them there which was great to keep our toddler occupied. There were clean beach chairs and umbrellas available and there was at least a few always available. This resort had plenty for everyone and resort was fully booked. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, ocean/pool view and it was everything we wanted and more. The screened in porch with a toddler. The unit was very clean, extremely comfortable and quiet. All amenities you get in a hotel were available.

Restaurant (Cabana grade 9 electricity unit review and Opus)- Great option for food and drinks and overall, just easy. Both offered something different, Cabana bar by the beach and pool with great food and drinks and Opus restaurant, more upscale with a great selection of drinks and food. Garden… Outline of the best and bad. Travel was for one week with two adults and a toddler. Best: Resort- There are two pools, the bigger one was the implied quiet zone for adults only. Learned that real quick with a toddler. The other pool is smaller but more lively and perfect for adults with kids. The location from the beach was Ahhmazing! We were able to snorkel off beach, it was extremely safe for our toddler, water a pristine turquoise color with no seaweed or rocks. The water temperature was 80 degrees. Bad – Wish we planned on a two week vaca here instead of one. More Show less

Let’s start off by clarifying that this isn’t a 5* hotel so I am not implying that with my rating. TCI had a direct flight so we chose it for quick 3 night getaway. Just in time to escape a foot of snow too! Ocean Club is a mid range hotel with gorgeous grounds (maybe by virtue of locale, but also with the hard work of its ancillary staff), with updated but c gastronomie not ostentatious rooms that overall allows travelers to enjoy a nice vacation pragmatically. The screened in porch with Adirondack rockers was hands down the best part. We utilized the single use coffee makers(provided Wolfgang Puck coffee was delish!) each morning and sat on the porch enjoying coffee, sun, and a perfect breeze. The washer dryer combo was awesome, since who loves wet and sandy beach clothes everywhere? No one does. We stayed in a junior suite, see photos provided. My recommendation – place an extra blanket in the room for those of us that like to blast the AC. The sheets and light blanket were scratchy which is not so great on a sunburn. Use fabric softener or get a higher gas near me app thread count. Special thanks to Gustave who helped me locate my phone. People like Gustave are why I would return. We went as a couple but OCE would be great for families. As for TCI, I think have had my fill of facelifts and the high prices that follow them, for a while.

This was our first trip to TCI. We booked through a travel agency on TCI, Turks and Caicos Reservations. Booking, payment, arrangements, went smoothly – staff was very helpful in answering questions. We stayed 10 days. Weather and water were perfect the entire time of our stay. We found the Ocean Club (OC) Resort to be very quiet and relaxing. We are a retired couple and enjoyed the peace and quiet of this resort. There was music a couple nights, but other than that, there’s not much going on directly on the property. We were told that circle k gas station locations to find music we would need to go in town to find live music and/or dancing. As for the facility itself, service was adequate, housekeeping only average, kitchen marginally equipped for any type of cooking that one would want to do. Books and DVDs were available. The units for rent are apparently privately owned and some of the amenities in the room are in need of update/replacement. One thing we found nice was how the beach towels were handled; no towel cards or signing out. Also, we found room on the beach with an umbrella and chairs any time we wanted, instead of having to get out early to reserve space like at some resorts. The real draw for us was the beautiful beach, fine white sand, and turquoise clear blue water. When my wife can stay in the water for an hour without getting cold, you know it’s warm. Gentle breezes and long walks, beautiful sunsets, it just doesn’t get better. We rented a car for a couple days after an $80 cab ride to get groceries at the IGA for 4 adults. We also hadn’t expected the high food prices that we found, though we shouldn’t have been surprised as everything is imported. Restaurants prices are high as well; again shouldn’t have been a surprise either. Driving on the left is a challenge but once your brain gets retrained, it’s not too bad after a day or so. On our next trip to TCI, we would likely stay at a hotel closer to in town. OC was a beautiful facility, well maintained but we want to be able to be closer to a wider variety of restaurants and gas or electricity more expensive entertainment. In summary, if peace and quiet, sun, sand, and blue water is what you desire in a vacation, this is a place you should consider.
