Bikini top cottage in the historic village … – vrbo electricity deregulation in california

The Bikini Top Cottage is on an alley way that leads directly to the kayak and boat launch. Walk down to view the sunrise coffee in hand with the Sailboat moorings and end your day at The Mar Vista restaurant. Make sure you walk out on the dock and look in the water around the sunken lights.

Across from The Village is the white sandy beach. Meander down the boardwalk and the beach opens up for miles of tranquil shoreline. The tip of the island feels more like you’ve discovered your own private island. With old trees laying in the water and no structures in site you can float out on the turquoise sandbar. Good spot to catch fish. Watch manatees and dolphins swim and dream of what this place was like before condos.

The cottages have an old time charm. Built in the 30’s as apart of The Whitney Estate. After a hurricane washed away the main home the cottages where relocated for safer ground. Sturdy little 440 sq. ft. Homes. Handmade stone veneer clad the outside of the structure. Inside you will find a comfortable living space. One full size bed in the bedroom and full size fold out coach in main living room. Internet cable of course. Nice porch and tropical landscaping.

If you’re into kayaking or paddle boarding this is a perfect launch pad. With in seconds on the water you will be surrounded by an array of activity. This is the destination boats come. In the Sarasota flats there are a string of islands called the sister keys. Sandbars sea grass and secret Channels hold tons of life. View more

We rented this cottage in May for our honeymoon. It was amazing, my husband and I absolutely loved it. We were torn at first between staying at Anna Maria or Longboat. We will always stay at Longboat from now on and at the Bikini Top Cottage, we wouldn’t have changed a thing. Josh and his wife do an incredible job with their cottages (I believe there are 4). They are each individually fenced with 6 foot privacy so you are in your own little haven. We over packed as usual, but if we forgot anything, they definitely had it there. We were amazed when we walked in with the awesome fireplace and pergola, to being greeted with fresh flowers throughout the cottage. We rode the bikes they provided every day and enjoyed cooking on their grill. We walked our kayaks down to the launch daily and fished in the bay every day. We were even accompanied by a couple Manatees and dolphins during some of our morning kayak cruises. The dock out back has a great fish cleaning station so you can clean everything right there and take them back and grill or fry them up in their cute kitchen that literally has everything you need to cook. Mar Vista is a short walk next door and has great food with an awesome view of the clear water in the Sarasota Bay. We couldn’t have asked for a better home to rent and Longboat has a charm that steals your heart right away. I fell in love with this place and we will be returning next year. Hated to leave but can’t wait to return. Don’t pass this up!! It will make your vacation awesome. Make sure you check out Beer Can Island while your’e here!
