Bring your camera and get ready to relax! d… – vrbo gas 76 station

This is a 67 acre property full of wildlife, cactus, birds and hiking. This is a NON-smoking rental. There is a $250 fee for violation of this policy. The RV is a 34′ 2018 Jayco Eagle Series bumper pull with two queen beds. This home is equipped with phone, huge flat screen TV, wifi, bluetooth stereo, double-door refrig/freezer, oven, range and an outdoor gas grill. This also comes equipped with 2 factory A/Cs and central heat, coffee pot with timer and a counter top icemaker. You will also find on-site a large charcoal/wood bar-b-q pit and lots of mesquite wood to cook with, or a smaller gas-grill attached to the quarters.

Also at the disposal of the customer is a 10’x 45′ covered wooden deck with chairs and a ceiling mounted mister system for hot summer days. Beautiful views of Bell Mountain, White Horse Mtn and the Christmas Mtns can all be seen from this vantage point, none more than a mile and a half from the porch. This deck is also equipped with five 8′ roll down screens for additional comfort from extreme heat. Of course there is a propane gas fire pit and a Chiminea with ample pinion pine firewood for cold winter days and nights. At the far end of this porch the customer will find a 10×15 enclosed sunroom also with A/C and heat, as well as a very nice queen sized futon bed from Santa Fe. This sunroom, as we call it, has a double-pane 6′ sliding glass door and 7 double pane windows from which to enjoy the viewing of scaled quail, eurasian and white winged doves, mule deer, javelina, fox, coyote, ravens and red-tailed hawks. Blackbear, mountain lions and bobcats have also been seen close to the house. Absolutely no hunting or discharge of firearms is allowed. This home is completely dependant on rainfall. We request that all visitors limit their water consumption. These quarters come with a 6 gallon water heater which helps reduce long showers. Due to the various types of wildlife in the area and customer allergies, we have a no pet policy that is strictly enforced. There is also a $250 fee for violation of this policy.

Area attractions include but are not limited too: Big Bend National Park (with access to a rowboat ride into Old Mexico for lunch and shopping), Big Bend Ranch State Park, Terlingua Ghostown, Lajitas Golf Resort, a beautiful River Road trip along the Rio Grande to Presidio, TX, chartered rafting down the Rio Grande through Santa Elena Canyon or Boquillas Canyon, and dinner at the Starlight Theatre in the ghostown. You are welcome to bring your own mountain bikes, ATV’s or UTV’S and ride out right from your front door.

Closer to home (1/2mile south) , you will find the Terlingua Ranch Headquarters office open 7 days a week, along with a cabana and bath house at the swimming pool. The ranch headquarters area also has a 7 day a week/ 3 meals a day café known as "The Bad Rabbit". There is also a laundromat located very close to the mgmt. office where they also sell bagged ice, logo T-shirts, wine glasses, caps and koozies.

If you are fortunate enough to have owners Mark and Michelle there on a visit at the time of your stay, you will surely benefit from their knowledge of the area and their ability (price negotiable) to take you on UTV/ATV guided tours of more of the unknown areas of the 225,000 acre Terlingua Ranch or you may request a private Alfresco dinner on the porch.

Five stars is not enough; this was one of the greatest stays we’ve had anywhere! Mark and Michelle were amazing hosts and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. The travel trailer was beautiful, clean, and stocked with every amenity we could have imagined. Mark and Michelle even made us homemade cookies and breakfast on our last day! Despite our late arrival, Mark met us at the road to help guide us in so we wouldn’t get lost. We enjoyed coffee on the beautiful deck each morning and watched all kinds of wildlife come in and eat just a few feet from the porch. We saw deer, foxes, javelina, and many types of birds. The property has a beautiful view of the mountains on every side and you truly are able to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature; however, the property is still well equipped with wifi, phone, and TV if desired. Mark and Michelle were nearby and were more than eager to answer any questions, offer suggestions about places to eat, things to see and do, and teach our daughter all kinds of facts about native plants and the area. Mark even took us on a UTV ride around the property to the top of a mountain to show us a spectacular view. We were not ready to leave, and cannot wait to come back. We have always loved Terlingua and the Big Bend area, and after this stay we were able to learn so much more about this area, and we cannot wait to come back and stay with Mark and Michelle!
