Broken scooters, unprofessional – review of elbow beach cycles, paget parish, bermuda – tripadvisor gas 87

#############

Problems started when they missed our scheduled confirmed afternoon delivery at the Resort. Once they arrived 1 hour late with our scooter, their staff were rude and tried to blame us for not specifying the delivery time. I presented the confirmation containing the delivery time PLUS my email trail with Mrs. T confirming la gastritis the delivery. They claimed That information doesn’t print on the rental agreement. What??

2 days later, a rear tire keeps losing air. We even got pulled over and were told to request a replacement. Gas attendants pointed out an obvious hole. Called Elbow Beach Cycles and the lady was rude on the phone- I suppose due to the inconvenience that they had to shuttle out a replacement scooter. Unlike other cycle liveries, Elbow Beach electricity related words does not have a delivery truck. Rather, they send someone driving your scooter and a buddy to shuttle them… I hope my honest experience with Elbow Beach Cycles steers potential renters away. My friends and I rented their most deluxe gas scooters for 6 days. In Brief / TLDR: -They were over an hour late for the scheduled delivery -Scooters broke down TWICE -Staff was incredibly rude -They fail to answer the 1940 gas station photos phone during normal business hours -Their scooters are older and have more kilometers/miles than rentals from Oleander -All their 2 person scooters have notably smaller seats than Oleander’s -Their scooters do not match the descriptions on their website Longer version: Problems started when they missed our scheduled confirmed afternoon delivery at the Resort. Once they arrived 1 hour late with our scooter, their staff were rude and tried to blame us for not specifying the delivery time. I presented the confirmation containing the delivery gas after eating pasta time PLUS my email trail with Mrs. T confirming the delivery. Unlike other cycle liveries, Elbow Beach does not have a delivery truck. Rather, they send someone driving your scooter and a buddy to shuttle them back, which takes time. 1 hour, 15 minutes later, they arrive with the replacement and are quick to drive away grade 9 electricity quiz- Suspicious. We get on the new scooter, only to notice an obvious knocking/rattling sound in the engine. Take it on the street and the scooter won’t drive over 20 kmph/12 mph. Called them again and the phone was finally answered on the 4th attempt. Rudely yet again, the lady tells us to take gasco abu dhabi address a taxi home and she will send us a scooter the next morning at 10am and will refund the taxi expense. 10:15am rolls by and no scooter delivery. Called until we got an answer. The THIRD scooter arrives at 11:00am, late again. To add on, this Mrs. T felt the need to claim the tire did not have a hole in it and suggested we were lying, despite politely informing her that a mechanic identified the hole and that we were pulled over for a flat tire. Thankfully, the third scooter held up through the end of our 6 day rental. She asked us to follow up to receive the promised refund. For the next 3 phone calls over 2 days, she responded with I’m busy electricity symbols worksheet and call back later. Absolutely unprofessional. Rather than taking the professional customer service recovery route by apologizing and fixing the matter, Mrs. T continued with her accusations that we falsified the defects. Why would we falsify claims of broken scooters so we can be stranded at gas stations for hours? Every, and I mean EVERY local we spoke to informed us that Elbow Beach Cycles has a poor reputation on the island- that they are known to not answer, rent out models with known defects electricity use in the us (several folks said the scooter models they carry are known to have issues), and fail to deliver on time. Every Oleander rental scooter that we looked at had noticeably larger seats and less kilos/miles on the odometer compared to the 3 scooters Elbow gave us. 100% do not recommend. More Show less
