A lovely, very large 2 bedroom apartment (sleeps 6) in a beautiful historic mansion block. 2nd floor above ground level with no elevator. Lots of natural light and space. Two large double bedrooms, large main room/lounge (w/convertible sofa-bed), fully equipped very large kitchen, 1 bathroom. Linens included. Guests have private access to the whole apartment, which is private (with private bathroom). Free fiber-optic WiFi

– (AIR MATTRESS: we do not guarantee provision of an air mattress. There may be one in storage. If you want an air mattress for alternative/separate sleeping arrangements, there are two local stores [search: Argos] open until 8pm that sell various inflatable mattress sizes/quality/ease for £12 and upwards.)

7. HOME LET: Guests should be familiar with the home rental ethos. This is not a hotel or new build or luxury condo; it does have the characteristics, idiosyncrasies, and comfortable features, of a lived in and loved home. We maintain and invest in our lovely home, strive for excellence, and provide 100% of what we advertise; but we also hold guests to account for knowing what they are purchasing in this market range.

8. DEPARTURE: Please remember to take all personal belongings (jewelry, electronics, jackets). We do not have a lost & found service, and the apartment may be inaccessible for a long time with the next reservation. In rare circumstances where we can access, find, and support a return, we may apply a £30 charge (time & labour) in addition to the cost of shipping & postage.

3) GARBAGE REMOVAL: central London does not have "neighbourhood garbage bins"; there are set hours for communities to place sealed trash bags in the hall for collection. Apologies if you were not made aware that this is the standard process in London….

4) LONDON: please know that Covent Garden is an upscale and vibrant community in the centre of London, and one of the more prestigious! It is acclaimed for it’s cafes, bars, theatres and boutique shops. This flat is fairly well located to NOT be on any street (no traffic!). One bedroom is completely quiet (faces an internal courtyard), and the other bedroom is two (!) floors above a small pedestrianised pathway with an elegant cafe, NOT a bar. Further of note, after 11pm, all bars/cafes/theatres close down and it becomes a relatively quiet area, well patrolled, and among the safest in London. Most residents find the location fairly quiet for a thriving metropolis, and most others can easily manage with some white noise (we provide room fans) or ear plugs (we provide them as well), or retiring after 11pm (when the local cafes close)…. ***SUMMARY: The towel concern was correctable, the carpet is clean, and the sealed trash in the hall should be expected during certain set hours. The apartment is actually fairly well positioned as extremely central, but occasional pedestrian murmurings. Other guest reviews validate that summary.

The apartment is located in elegant & colourful Covent Garden, one of the trendiest areas. It is literally above a vast array of boutique shops, restaurants, cafés, coffee shops and wine bars. – West End theatre scene and bars; – Leicester Square – 50metres; – Chinatown – 150metres; – Soho – 150metres; – Piccadilly Circus – 300metres; – Trafalgar Sq – 200metres; – Oxford St (department, flagship and high street stores) – 400 metres; – Regent St (department and flagship stores) – 500metres; – Mayfair – 700metres; – Buckingham Palace – 500metres; – Big Ben and Westminster – 500metres; – Knightsbridge (Harrods) – 1.3km; – there are a number of small garden squares very close by (Soho Square, Lincoln Fields, Embankment), but the large open spaces of The Royal Parks (Regents Park, Green Park, St James’ Park and Hyde Park) are all about a 15-20 minute walk.
