OMG. I have not posted on here in forever. Good reasons and not great reasons — 1. I lost my login, well, forgot it, and there was no easy way to get back in to here. But recently did something where you can now use your account to login to your site, so here we are. I know that may sound super confusing to some, but let’s just all say a lil prayer of thanks that it happened even if we don’t understand it. 2. I’m not so ready to talk about that here yet, but if you know me personally, you know the reason. dynamic electricity examples If you follow me on IG, then you can probably figure that out too.

I have MANY ideas for this space. I want this to be a place of positivity and vulnerability. If that sounds like something you are interested in, stick with me, lend words of encouragement, engage with me so we can make this a place of solidarity and inclusivity. Lots if –ity in this post, haha. And if you have a different opinion about something I share, share it! Let me know. You are included and good conversation here is always appreciated.

I will bring you what I know and/or like to talk about which is interior styling (yes, I’m still redoing things haha), advice on styling outfits as well, and my favorite skin care products of course. I have also been trying to take on minimalism to help with my (self-proclaimed) anxiety and OCD. It has helped A LOT! I will also write about how to stay positive in life when it is tough or sad or whatever is going on in our lives when we just need a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen. We got each other!

KLAIRS is always my step two. Why? Because it preps the skin to absorb the next step in your skin regimen better. This is called an essence or a toner. This one is technically both because it also balances the pH in your skin (FYI, most cleansers don’t mess up your pH these days, so that part isn’t huge anymore). It is basically making your most important step (that follows) even better. It is a gentle formula for all skin types. It reduces inflammation, hydrates, soothes, and protects the skin! It really does feel great when you put on your skin.

Next, if it’s morning, I use Good Genes by Sunday Riley. It is a lactic acid treatment. The Same potency you would get from a plastic surgeon’s office. Very anti-aging. It will help get rid of your lines. Short-term – plump lines. Long-term – rebuild your collagen. It will resurface and retexturize your skin. 10 gases It will strengthen what you put on top of it. It will make you look like you have “good genes”. Seriously. Read about it. Amazing… then I moisturize and apply makeup and I’m on my way.

If it’s night time, I use the KLAIRS then the Luna Oil by Sunday Riley. Think of it as a next generation retinol oil. Did you use Accutane as a teen for acne or know someone who did? Made your skin terrible but then OMG so much better in the end. That is basically what this is but WAIT. Let me explain. It will not act like Accutane. It’s a different derivative of retinol that will not make your skin go crazy, you just get beautiful after effects.

As I said in that post, I want to do a What To Do In Las Vegas series. First up, Lake Mead! I have definitely been missing the water in Louisiana. One of my favorite things about living in Lake Charles the past 9 years (and Louisiana my whole life) was being on the lake and having access anytime I wanted. So when one of my new girlfriends texted saying they rented a pontoon boat at Lake Mead for Memorial Day, I was ALL in!

Lake Mead is just a short drive from Las Vegas, about 30-50 minutes depending where in Vegas you are. The water is so clear in comparison to the muddy waters of Louisiana I am used to. walmart with a gas station near me Lake Mead is the largest reservoir in the U.S. and provides water to Nevada, Arizona and California and is on the Colorado River. It’s beautiful to just drive by and the marinas are clean if you want to play there as well.

There are many places to dock or anchor and enjoy the water. We found a large beach party and stayed there most of the day. People from all over were there. I, of course, met a girl from Louisiana who was from a small town about an hour away from where I grew up because it is such a small world here in Las Vegas. It truly is. Some of the first people I met here were from Louisiana and Texas 🙂

I packed up my car and pup and headed west this past Halloween. I only told my immediate family and close friends, so unless you follow me on social media, you may not know I moved. I still have my home in Lousiana that my little brother is renting from me – furnished. I’m still working on real estate deals in LA, and I’m figuring out what I want to do here in Nevada. (I think I just about have that figured out FINALLY.)

I’ve wrote and rewrote this blog a few times. It was hard for me to write because sometimes it’s hard for me to live here so far away from my family and friends. I have good days and bad days. The holidays were tough, looking at all the holiday photos from parties with friends on social media that I was missing out on and not being with family for the first time ever on Christmas. My boyfriend tried really hard to make Christmas fun and sweet for me. It was a great day if it would have been any other day other than Christmas. It was tough. After the New Year, it was like a weight was lifted and it got easier to be away. But like I mentioned, I still have bad days. The first version of this post was positive and just about the views along my route. The revision was about the depression and anxiety I’ve been working through. This one will not be like that. This one is just a – hey, I moved to Vegas and this is what’s coming to the blog because it’s short and sweet and easier to post that way, and because today is a good day. I just got home a week ago from visiting Louisiana friends and family, and I’m refreshed!

I’m also thinking of posting a series of What To Do In Vegas! Let me know what you would like to see here or see me do 🙂 I’ve already done so much, but there is so much more to see here as well! I try to stay away from the Strip, so you will get to see the many things to do here besides just what pops up in everyone’s heads when you mention Vegas – casinos and clubs, haha.

I use KLAVUU Pure Pearlsation Divine Pearl Cleansing Oil that I ordered from Soko Glam. From their description: “This rich oil cleanser removes oil-based impurities gently and effectively. With naturally derived oils such as safflower seed oil, jojoba seed oil and macadamia seed oil, this oil cleanser cleanses your pores and removes even waterproof makeup while pearl extracts work to brighten the skin. The scent of vanilla and macadamia is luxurious as it is therapeutic and serves as the perfect first step in your double-cleansing routine.” This cleansing oil is great for ALL skin types. It’s one of the most universal cleansing oils I’ve read about, and the fact that it has pearls made me really want to try it. electricity notes physics Have you heard about pearls for your beauty routine? Are you living under a rock? haha jk, but seriously, it’s a thing. It will brighten and hydrate your skin, helps promote skin’s radiance, increase collagen, and regeneration of new skin cells. And it’s not a new thing, ancient royalty used it. Cleopatra used pearls. WOW. SOLD. (You can read more about pearl from one of my fav bloggers Lauryn Evarts of the Skinny Confidential)

This oil leaves my skin feeling soft not oily and clean without my skin feeling tight. You DO NOT want a squeaky clean face! That means the cleanser you are using is stripping all the good stuff from your skin too, not just what you don’t want. I highly recommend this KLAVUU’s cleanser. You also only need like a pump and half to coat your makeup filled face and only one if you don’t have any makeup on. Seriously, I’ve been using it for weeks and have only put a small dent into my bottle. When you put it on your face initially, it’s very much like an oil. You massage it into your face and eyes to break down your makeup. Then when you start to rinse with warm water, it emulsifies into a milky, non-greasy cleanser.

So yea, I tired the Ritual vitamin that kept popping up in my Facebook feed. If you are anything like me, i.e. I don’t like clutter and reading too much about a hundred different kinds of vitamins – gives me anxiety, then you will want to take a look at Ritual vitamins. THE MAIN REASON I TRIED THIS VITAMIN: I’m always low in Iron. I can’t give blood. I pass out. gas natural fenosa Luckily, they prick your finger these days then tell you that you can’t donate today. When I take iron pills or any multivitamin with iron, I get nauseated. Seriously, even if I eat, I get sick. I’ve even vomited before because of it. I know. G ross. Ritual uses “ferrous bisglycinate, which has better tolerability, absorption, and efficacy than other iron forms which may cause nausea.” Right there. I was hooked and kept reading.

They break down and spell out everything they put in their vitamin, why it is in the vitamin, and how the ingredients work together. Easy right? You know exactly what you’re getting. Their team of scientists researched what women need and what the don’t, and that is exactly what they put in their vitamin. Nothing more, nothing less. I liked that too. And because I’m a near 30 aging freak who is now obsessed with skincare and wish I would have been at an earlier age – this vitamin helps fight aging, protects the skin, and helps improve mood and maintain energy. They also will ship it to you every 30 days. to your mailbox. like clockwork. in cute packaging. with stickers. They are also vegan, NonGMO, made in the great U.S. of A, gluten and allergen free, and don’t use any synthetic fillers or colorants.

• *UPDATE* My nails! Lately when it’s time to take the polish of my toenails after a pedicure has run its course, my nails look brittle, dry, and discolored. Now they aren’t. Now I can let them grow out a little bit and file them!
