Custom waterfront home,180 degree view,priv… – homeaway 9gag wiki

Take in the beauty of Grand Lake from the decks of this luxurious home with four bedrooms and a bunk room/game room. Recently customized inside and out, this home is one of the most pleasant and comfortable locations on Grand Lake. All bedrooms have king beds with new, comfortable mattresses. The bunk room has a double bunk and a day bed with trundle.

There is also an upstairs nook with a queen sleeper sofa. So the house will comfortably sleep 12 without the sleeper sofa. All bedding and furniture is new and was meticulously selected for comfort first. The living room is equipped with a 60′ smart TV with internet connection through Wavelinx.

There are two magnificent decks, both of which provide a beautiful panoramic view of the Monkey Island area of Grand Lake. Wildlife is abundant with ducks, geese, pelicans (in season), deer and bald eagles. A large outdoor grill is located on the upper deck for ‘outdoor cooking with a view’. Speaking of the view: the nicest thing is that when taking it in you will have a hard time finding anything man-made. There are many places on Grand Lake that have a view–of the neighbor’s docks or marina. Not here. You look out on the wilderness of Snake Island (named for its shape, not what’s on it) and Governor’s Island, and beyond that, is Monkey Island where with good eyes you can see a distant water tower and hotel. Enjoy the sunrise with your coffee and nature.

The kitchen is beautiful with granite counter tops and stainless appliances. It is fully equipped with convection oven, five top burner range, convection microwave, refrigerator/freezer with ice and water dispenser, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and crock pot. A good supply of cookware, baking pans, and cooking utensils are available for your use whether cooking for small or large groups. Basic staples such as flour, pancake/biscuit mixes, various types of sugars, corn meal, syrups, basic salad dressings, mayo, mustard, and relish are provided along with a large supply of spices and rubs for cooking or grilling. There is a large dining table with full view of the lake. View more

Oh my goodness where to start……. first of all, the correspondence with the owners (Fred and Barbara) was always easy and prompt. Everything was clear and lined out perfectly for our stay. Upon arrival, we met with the house and boat manager, and they were both very nice and extremely helpful the entire trip (Jim was hilarious!) The house was spotless and had every amenity you could think of. Fresh baked cookies on arrival, a bottle of wine….. a pantry filled with flour, sugar, seasonings, etc….. They literally thought of EVERYTHING. We only had to leave ONCE during our entire stay and that was to go get groceries for our stay……..The view was just INCREDIBLE…….. no matter where you went you could see the lake in all directions…… I’m not sure you could even get a better view than the view from this home! There is not one complaint that we have about our stay other than we wish that we owned the home ourselves so that we could never leave………. It rained every day that we were on vacation, but it didn’t matter…. we took the boat out fishing, fished off the dock, played cards, grilled out, played foosball in the kids room and spent quality time together….. it was one of the best family vacations we have ever had! The owners are such wonderful people, the house manager and boat manager were awesome and everything was absolutely perfect. We would recommend this to anyone that wants a nice, relaxing vacation in a huge, gorgeous home with an unbelievably beautiful view…….the family time away from all the "hustle and bustle" is just priceless. Love, Love, LOVE the Bogan House and we can’t wait to go back!

We spent 2 days enjoying the wonderful view of Grand Lake from the top deck of the Bogan’s beautiful home. The house had something for everyone…a bunk room where the kids could hide out, dress up and play basketball & games; upper & lower decks with Grand Lake view & comfortable bedrooms with beautiful decor. We enjoyed the lake & golfed at Shangri-La. The den had comfy furniture where we all watched a movie. The house was well-stocked and we brought groceries to cook meals.

Jim, the boat guy, was nice and very knowledgeable. My one piece of very important information would be this…if you rent the pontoon or bring your own boat… STAY AWAY FROM THE ISLANDS ENTIRELY!!!! There are areas where it seems like you could cruise through…seems wide enough…no buoys or markers….it doesn’t matter…it’s shallow…even in the middle…don’t do it!!! You’ll go from 70’ to 3’ and then you’re in trouble. So…in summary…those cool islands north east of the cabin…don’t go near them in a pontoon or ski boat. Period!!!
