This is a very special house on a private beach in Capistrano Beach/Dana Point area with white water views that is right on the sand in an exclusive gate-guarded community. This beautiful house is a perfect beach rental option for an extended family or a group of friends to enjoy a perfect holiday. A person renting this home will enjoy both the Lower Level Villa and Beach Front Penthouse.

The lower unit offers two spacious bedrooms with a California King bed in the master suite, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. Beach Road is located between the San Clemente Pier and the Dana Point Harbor in a one of a kind Southern California Beach Front Community with views and privacy unparalleled in Southern California. The homes allow you to step out on to your own private beach with additional miles of public beach for daily activities and exercise. Here, you can experience Southern California coastal living at its finest. The sun, surf and abundant Southern California vacation activities can’t be matched.

The exclusive gated community of Beach Road provides privacy and seclusion not commonly associated with beachfront property. Here you can come to relax, surf, play tennis, ride bicycles along the coast bike path, walk the beach, gaze at brilliant starlit skies, or just sit on the deck and watch surfers, pelicans, and dolphins while you feel the romance and energy of the ocean.

Geographically located in an area known as California’s Riviera, ‘one can expect the best coastal weather in Southern California.’ The property is located right on the beach so you can expect to see schools of dolphins, and surfers. In addition it is near both Doheny and Poche, two of the best surfing spots on the west coast.

At 60 miles south of Los Angeles, and 65 miles north of San Diego, we are just 45 minutes to Disneyland, 25 minutes to Lego Land, 60 minutes to Sea World and within an hour of all the other great attractions Southern California has to offer. Our rental is very centrally located to all major airports, shopping, theme parks, wineries, and fine restaurants.

Dining in the surrounding area consists of a famous Mexican restaurant, an Italian restaurant and Sushi within walking distance. We also have waterfront dining on the San Clemente Pier or in the Dana Point Harbor. There are many more upscale restaurants in the vicinity due to the proximity of the nearby Luxury Hotels inclusive of The Ritz Carlton, The St. Regis and The Montage Resort.

This is our second time renting a beach house. The 1st rental was at Newport. In comparison this house was much nicer and bigger, but Newport beach is much more family friendly. If you just want to hear the ocean waves and be near the water in a gorgeous house, this rental is for you. If you envision a vacation with your kids playing in the waves, building sand castles, and playing beach soccer, I recommend Newport.

There were 11 of us total and the house was fantastic. This house is actually 2 separate houses which worked out nicely, but the houses do not connect from the inside. You must go outside to get to the upper unit. The lower unit has a huge living area with plenty of seating and multiple couches. The Upper unit was nice when the older kids wanted to watch their own shows and movies. The house is amazing and clean. The beds were comfortable with nice bedding. We had an infant with us and the pack in play was provided. We used the game room and had a blast. The kids spent hours on the trampoline which overlooks the spectacular ocean. The adults sipped on beverages in the hot tub while the waves crashed just feet away. You are VERY close to the water on this beach. There is plenty of parking and storage space. The house exceeded all our expectations.

Unfortunately the beach was too rocky to enjoy. We tried a few times to get in the water, but the waves were strong and once you get knocked down you will be scraped across the rocks. Boogie boarding was completely out with all the rocks although our teenager did try. He thought if he went further out he could get away from the rocks. That wasn’t the case and he ended up scraped. After seeing the adult injuries, the kids did not try to venture into the wafer. Water shoes are required to be on beach, but even if you just try to stay ankle deep, small pebbles get into your water shoes with the waves. We brought soccer balls and a Frisbee, but the beach was not sandy enough to play either. We ended up driving to Newport beach so the kids could enjoy the water. Capistrano beach is nice and quiet with no crowds.
