This is a 3-bedroom/2-bath authentic mid-century home with private pool. The house sits adjacent to the Palm Desert Golf Club’s 15th tee and has beautiful mountain views. Enjoy this historical space age beauty decorated in popular mid-century style with plenty of room to relax and entertain. Amenities include luxury bed linens, on-site laundry, fully furnished kitchen, off-street parking for up to two cars.

A gorgeous private pool with "Baja" tanning shelf and jacuzzi is right on your back patio. The pool is unheated and comfortable for swimming May through September ONLY. The heated jacuzzi can be heated on demand year round. We require tenants to turn the jacuzzi off when not in use, and we monitor the utility consumption to guard against abuse. Tenants who routinely fail to turn off the jacuzzi will experience a deduction of all or part of their security deposit.

2. Guests must care for the home as if it was their own. This means you will wash your dishes, take out your trash, and wipe up egregious spills. We do not charge a separate housekeeping FEE, but if our housekeeper cannot ready the home for the next guest within FOUR HOURS we will charge her over-time rates to your Security Deposit. Also, if she cannot get out stains in the upholstery as a result of your visit we will hire a professional (usually about $149)

3. The jacuzzi can be heated, but the swimming pool is UNHEATED. Those who abuse the jacuzzi heat (fail to turn it of nightly) will pay for that from the Security Depost. Sometimes we don’t see your abuse (in our gas account) until after your check-out. For this reason, refunds on the security deposit is delayed one week after checkout.

4. We do not allow for subletting nor for more than six guests in this home. During festival weekends we require a face to face meet and greet at check-in. We also require that the person who pays with credit card MUST stay as a resident in the home for the duration of the booking, and ALL GUESTS during festival weekends must show proof of age upon check-in, and be over 25 years old. While in residence and just after check-out, this guest told me repeatedly how much she and her family enjoyed their stay at the property. It was only after I had to notify her of charges against her security deposit that her tune changed. (By the way, this is only the 2nd time we’ve had to charge against a guest’s security deposit, but damages as a result of this guest happened and she acknowledged them. I guess she thought the upholstery cleaning charges would come out of our expenses. But that is what the Security Deposit is there for!)

Anyway, after THAT, she sent us a photo to bolster her claim of a roach infestation. Actually, the photo was of a single cricket (harmless). Then she demanded her entire Deposit. She never mentioned bugs (of any kind) during her stay BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE. Neither the owners, the housekeeper, the property manager NOR ANY of our previous guests have ever seen roaches in this house!

We have had delightful experiences renting this property, and we have met some truly lovely folks who understood how to treat the home and how to do business with reasonable people. Unfortunately, this was not our experience with this guest.
