Designer spa-like villa terraces, expansiv… – vrbo gas oil ratio for weed eater

Our house is on the hillside, in the Ojo de Agua neighborhood of San Miguel. Ojo de Agua is just on the edge of Centro, but a relatively easy, flat, and beautiful walk into the main plaza. We are very close to the lush Parque Juarez as well. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe – close to everything yet a bit more tranquil than being right in the middle of centro. You can walk to most anywhere, but of course, you can also get a taxi to just about anywhere in town for about a couple of dollars.

There is a large kitchen and dining room that opens to a patio with the pool and garden courtyard. By the front entrance, you will find a kitchen garden, well stocked with herbs and the occasional vegetable. In the back garden we have a lemon, lime, mandarin, and pear tree that you are welcome to use whenever there is fruit ready for picking!

The master bedroom is above the kitchen, with ensuite bath, separate soaking tub, and private terrace. There are two rooms across the courtyard, each with two twin beds and private baths. The twin beds can be put together into a King size upon request. In addition there is a king size bedroom and bath downstairs, used as a guest casita. All the bedrooms are stocked with top quality linens and towels, and soft blankets for the occasional cool evenings.

A cozy den is off the dining area, with fireplace and bookshelves. For the younger people, you’ll find a studio/ family room with large tv and game console downstairs, adjacent to the casita space. We also have a basketball hoop in the driveway, or of course, the big park (Juarez) is a very short walk as well. Wireless internet is present throughout the house. You’ll also have clean, filtered drinking water from every faucet.

After a few years here in San Miguel, we finally decided to take the plunge and build a home here. We found the perfect architect for us, who was able to make a home that works with the climate and surroundings as best as possible. We designed and orientated the home in order to take advantage of passive solar, wind patterns, and even taking into consideration the neighboring home styles. We also incorporated a water reclamation system and solar panels for both electricity and hot water. Our goal was to make a beautiful and comfortable house with a minimal impact on the earth and resources.

We were thrilled to find this particular lot because, in our opinion, it is the perfect location for getting into the center of town, as well as enjoying some tranquility. We also have an "arroyo" (stream) that runs through the front of the property. This can be a real site to behold during the big downpours of the rainy season – literally becoming a rushing river. In the dry season, it is just a stone ravine, separating a small garden at the front of the property.

This was our first visit to San Miguel so did not really know what to expect. Needless to say, it surpassed all of our expectations, especially our home away from home, Casa del Toro! It’s design, decor and amenities provide an appealing and comfortable setting where one feels like it is their own. It was perfect for our two granddaughters who are five and seven.

In addition, our host, Janan, and the property manager, Jonathan, really outdid any former owners or managers we have dealt with in the past. Janan provided a ton of information that enabled us to make reservations at amazing restaurants, find the best shopping for both food and gifts and great recommendations about what to do while we were visiting SMA…for every age. Jonathan was most helpful in arranging transportation, golf and the fantastic cook, Julia, and her assistant Ricardo who provided us with two delicious meals during our stay. I would also like to give a big hand to Sylvia, the lovely cleaning lady, and Israel, the gardener…they were great!
