Disappointing – titanic spa, huddersfield traveller reviews – tripadvisor v gashi

The apartments are nice and spacious but again are tired with flaking paint, plugs that don’t drain and very squeaky beds. Our room also had a balcony door that didn’t lock that when we informed reception, couldn’t be changed until after our stay. We ended up tying the door handle to the table with our robe just in case… I’ve been visiting titanic for years but doubt I’ll return. It was originally a lovely, classy spa with beautiful food and treatments. Now its tired, needs a refresh and full of very noisy and often drunk groups. This is probably because of the amazing offers gas x breastfeeding side effects they put out there, which are great but it spoils the place. Customer service is lacking, there is no personal touch anymore. The heat experience has an awful smell to it which can only be described as sweat and body odours. The electricity definition chemistry steam rooms used to smell of lovely lavender or eucalyptus but now, there is no masking the horrible ‘bodily’ smells. People are loud everywhere, even in the quiet areas so don’t be expecting to relax. The treatments are nice but overpriced. I’ve been to better spas and had the same treatments and paid much less. They also never last as long as they should, mine yesterday was 10 minutes shorter than expected. The food has gone downhill, they used to offer a beautiful buffet for lunch, but now it’s a small sandwich or similar. The apartments are nice and spacious but again are tired with flaking paint, plugs that don’t drain and very squeaky beds. Our room also had a balcony door that didn’t lock that when we informed reception, couldn’t be changed until after our stay. We ended up tying the door handle to the table with our robe just in case someone did get in in the night! All in all I’m now disappointed with what used to be a top quality spa. I’ll be spending my money elsewhere in future and telling my friends to do the same. More Show less

I attended the Spa as a gift for my birthday in December 2014. The spa is beautifully nestled in the outer area of Huddersfield, the building gas works park seattle looks lovely from the outside and there is more than ample parking. The spa entrance is lovely and the reception area is clean and clutter free apart from the luggage trollies and robe bins by reception. The general appearance inside the spa is tasteful and to a high standard, however there small areas where the attention to detail is lacking and spoils the other good efforts to achieve a lovely elegant decor. Such as the walls near the treatment rooms where there are small 93 gas near me areas of exposed wall foam and wiring. The massage was very nice and the masseurs were polite and very attentive. The range of facilities is very good. The pool is clean and the hot cold area is particularity nice. The relaxation area is brilliant, the bean bag pit and bean bag chairs are particular successes. There is an outside seating area beside the stream which would surely be a fantastic setting on a summers day. The restaurant area was also nicely set out in areas but also cramped in other areas. The staff were attentive 76 gas station locations and the service was speedy. My vegetarian meal was nice and the portion size was ample but my partner ordered the sea food and is now regretting it after a visit to hospital and a subsequent diagnosis of gastroenteritis. Despite the good points we were concerned regarding the food preparation/ serving areas/ cleaning areas which were all one of the same. Dirty plates were left on the counter next to food ready to be served and also cleaning products. My advice is stick to safer foods on the limited choice menu. Would I return or recommend this venue? This is a hard decision, based on the facilities/ price and our experience Id be 50/50 as to whether I would return but this is based on the fact that despite the relaxing day my birthday was ruined by my partner becoming ill and spending the evening in casualty. If you stick to the safer options on the menu then you will likely enjoy your day.

Fail to see the attraction in Titanic. It is housed in a converted mill in the middle of nowhere in Huddersfield and as soon as you step in the door it becomes clear your on a highly commercial conveyor belt. There are only two main areas the heat and ice room which is simply a dry sauna, steam sauna,3 footbaths and aromatherapy sauna. Your expected to while away the hours f gas certification logo in here relaxing whilst waiting for treatment. This may have been exciting 20 years ago but sharing space with a lot of people (and I mean a lot) who talk loudly as if your not there is not my idea of fun. I tried the relaxation room which is a dark room with gas gangrene some sofas and a chair but no light to read so it was akin to being in a cave.I arrived at my allocated pick up point for treatment and after waiting at the allocated point with 10 other people was taken through. Treatment was ok but does very much depend on who you get and just pray they are not running late as the therapists are on a very tight schedule and have to make up the time somewhere. Overall lacks any kind of intimacy and style and quiet in comparison with say hoarcross hall. Pretty poor overall
