The City of Mentor is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer to work primarily with storm water management projects. Duties will include administering the city’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Program, review of residential, commercial and industrial site development plans, erosion and sediment control plan review and inspection, and other project management duties as required. A Bachelor’s degree with major course work in Civil Engineering or Environmental Science is required; 5-10 year’s work experience with municipal engineering projects, water quality management, storm water management, and water pollution control desired. A seasonal intern is needed to assist the City of Mentor Parks Recreation Department in the development, coordination, publicity, implementation and evaluation of summer camps, aquatic programs, and special events. Work takes place in a busy environment in which no one day resembles the next, providing the student with a very good background in municipal recreation. The successful summer intern must be capable of working at a fast pace, be customer-service driven and understand that we work as a team to accomplish a great deal in a short time period. Must be able to work evenings and weekends year-round and work approximately 20 hours per week plus instruction.
