We were thrilled with our safari experience to Murchison Falls! We made a last minute booking 2 days prior based on the recommendation of a colleague and Sarah was very responsive and able to answer all our questions. The team was very accommodating and came to us for payment and pick-up. Everything was taken care of for us (transport, meals, park entrance, vehicle, etc.). Our guide, Morris, was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating to any requests we made (stops for food, bathroom breaks, buying replacement sunglasses). Any questions we had regarding the park and its history and specific animals, he was gas vs diesel prices able to provide a great deal of information which enriched the experience. He was also very upbeat and a pleasure to be around. The actual tour was spectacular! We saw many animals, including: giraffes, baboons, monkeys, elephants, jackals, various types of antelope, warthogs, water buffalo, hippopotamus, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birds. You will have no shortage of up close encounters with animals, particularly if you get an early start. Very pleased with the experience! The Nile cruise guide was also excellent, very knowledgeable of the various animal species, their habits, and fun facts. The falls are gorgeous as well. We were disappointed at first that we were on the small boat, however it was a huge advantage as it allows you to get much closer to the gasbuddy app animals! Accommodations: we went with the basic package. We’re fairly accustomed to minimal accommodations and they were perfectly suitable. The staff were kind and helpful. However, note that there is no electricity in the rooms. Not too much of an issue given the first day is a long day and you arrive after dark and want to rise before the electricity generation by state sun – it is just a place to sleep.
