Although we’d become aware of AstroGC before travelling (thanks to TripAdvisor) we only booked after we’d arrived on Gran Canaria. We volunteered two evenings when we would be free and were fortunate that we were able to go on the first of these. Booking and confirmation by email text was very efficient and Gaulthier picked us up from our hotel just after 7pm.

There was only one other couple on our trip so once they had been collected we headed for the mountains. There was time for a viewpoint and photo opportunity as the sun began to set en-route and then we were parked up for gas key staking the evening. Gaulthier set-up the telescope and explained what we should be seeing and how to view the sky. We were lucky enough to get clear views of Jupiter, most of the constellations, several satelites and even a shooting star!

Gaulthier gas dryer vs electric dryer cost savings is, of course, key to the success of the evening and his knowledge and enthusiasm are infectious! His mini-bus has been customised so that he can present onto a projector screen at the back of the bus and this was an excellent way of explaining the night sky to the uninitiated like me! My top tip is long trousers and a beanie hat, you won’t regret it! The hp gas online login trip was both very enjoyable and worthwhile and all ages would enjoy it, especially perhaps children as long as they can stay up that late! It’s also good value considering we were out from 7pm until after midnight and got picked up and dropped off at our hotel. The icing on the cake were the couple of long exposure photos which Gaulthier emailed through a couple of days after our trip as a souvenir which were much appreciated and a lovely touch! AstroGC are gas vs diesel mpg highly recommended and we wish Gaulthier every success with it in the future. More Show less

My husband has a special interest in astronomy so given this holiday was a birthday trip for him, our evening with Gauthier was the icing on the cake! We had notified Gauthier of our availability and got an email and text message from him around noon on the second day (apparently the weather forecast had been unreliable so he was not able to let us know sooner that day). Unfortunately, we were doing a day-trip and did not get his messages until we returned to our hotel around 6 pm. Even at that late point, Gauthier would have been happy to accommodate us but we were just too hungry and gas variables pogil answers exhausted to be able to do star-gazing that night. The following day, communications worked perfectly and Gauthier picked us up from a location of our choice in Puerto de Mogan where we were staying. We were delighted to learn that there was only one other couple on the trip that night and we would get plenty of “telescope action”! Gauthier was meticulous about every detail (his usual location did not quite fit the weather conditions and he took us to a higher spot at Cruz de San Antonio to make sure we would get the maximum benefit out of the experience electricity calculator). All the while he kept monitoring wind-conditions, cloud movement etc. We were extremely lucky in that the clouds cleared completely and we got to see millions of stars in a perfect night-sky (and that was just with the naked eye!) We observed Jupiter (Gauthier used different filters to show us the bands and bring out the colours), Orion’s Nebula and a number of other nebulae. It was a completely fascinating experience. We also saw a shooting star and a number of satellites in the sky. Gauthier was very patient with the four of us and made sure that everybody actually got to see what they were meant to see through the telescope. He also had a very interesting Powerpoint presentation which he projected onto a screen at the back of his van. The evening ended with hot tea (a very thoughtful gesture given the night-time cold e payment electricity bill mp at high altitude!), a little quiz and a chance to buy some meteorite fragments to remind us of the experience. Finally, Gauthier took photographs of us with his excellent camera and tripod and emailed them to us a few days later – a really lovely souvenir and not something we could have captured ourselves! I would certainly recommend this excursion to anybody with the slightest interest in astronomy – or even just anybody wanting to experience the kind of majestic night-skies usually hidden to people living in densely populated and light-polluted areas gas up the jet; it is truly breath-taking. Gauthier is a caring, conscientious and very interesting host. Just make sure you heed his advice and wrap yourself in numerous fleeces – it does get very cold!
