Exhaust quieter after a bad tank of gas need help! – chevy ss forum electricity projects for grade 6

Will try to make this long story quick. I’ve been getting cheap premium from a gas station near my place (ARCO, it’s listed on TopTierGas.com) for 7K miles now on my 2016 A6 and haven’t had a problem up until this recent fill up the engine did not seem like it wanted to pull full power, especially at lower RPMs (2000-3500rpm, 3rd gear at 40mph foot down and it was **** near dead, unless my memory is shot this car pulls fairly decent even as low as 2000rpm). Also noticed sluggish/confused shifting at times and overall lack of giddy up the car usually has.

Took it to the dealer today, they saw no codes, had bad things to say about ARCO’s gas, and recommended I go to the Shell or Chevron stations in the area. So I went and burned the rest of the bad gas cruising in Tour mode and then filled up with Shell V-Power Nitro and while the performance seems to be closer to normal the exhaust is not as loud as it used to be, particularly the pops/burbles seem muted at times or don’t even happen at all. I also noticed downshifting 6-5, 5-4, 4-3 feels soft now and doesn’t seem to get the same audible rev match blips anymore, and the 3-2 downshift especially that is usually loud and amazing is just so-so sounding now. Going to let her sit over night and hope things are more familiar tomorrow…

Am I going crazy or is something going on here? This is making me extremely anxious and paranoid that something is indeed wrong. I’ve driven this car enough to know exactly how it should sound and feel and something ain’t right and is definitely different… Any advice, help, or knowledge would be greatly appreciated!
