Facial nerve drainage in throat, jaw, ear + facial pain – neurological disorders forum – ehealthforum 5 gases that come from car emissions

I can’t believe I’m finally reading about something similar to what I’ve been suffering with for 13 years. It’s not pain but a constant feelng that my mouth is "draining" – almost entirely on the upper right side. I’ve tried every king of doctor and most prescribe anti-depressants and anti-psychotic and anti-anxiety meds….all of which make me sick and none of which help to alleviate the symptoms. I went so far as to have one of my teeth pulled but that didn’t help. I recently went to Costa Rica for dental work and had crowns and a bridge put in where I had had the extraction. Pretty major dental work and for 3 weeks afterward I was symptom free!!!!!! – no drainage and for the first time in 13 years I slept for more than 5 hours at a time. But now the vague nausea is back as well as the "draining" sensation and the odd taste. I am utterly exhausted but otherwise as healthy as anyone around so there is no doctor or dentist who is even remotely interested in exploring this. (I don’t blame them because they have no similar patients.) I have tried acupuncture, hypnotists, naturopaths, etc. to no avail. If you have ANY ideas, please respond. And good luck.

hi. i have the same symptoms. i have been to about 10 ent’s, but no one knows what this is. left sided drainage from jaw or soft palate into mouth and throat. horrible tasting, but can’t see it or cough it up. ear pressure and jaw and face pressure. stomach problems from the drainage. burning on the left side of my tongue from the drainage, (because the drainage burns) left sided throat burn from the drainage. i have had this for almost 5 years. don’t know how i live this way, i am always in pain, but pain is not so bad when the drainage is not so bad. tried antibiotics which relieves it somewhat, but comes back when antibiotic is done. does any doctor know what this is??? i need relief, i don’t know how much longer i can take this. can anyone give me any advice. this is the first time, however that i have found anyone who comes close to my symptoms. everyone thinks i am crazy. doctors don’t want to see me anymore. i have been to the university of pitts. ent and nuroligist. johns hopkins ent and oral surgeon. i have also been to about 20 different ents, oral surgeons and neuralgists. i have had cat scans, mri’s, blood tests, and x-rays and they have all come out normal, but i know what i feeling and something is wrong. i just need a doctor who will work with me and help me find out what this problem is. its been a nightmare, actually. my life is on hold. anyway, need someone to talk to, to get this out. this is a good forum. lets keep writing so we all might work together in finding out what is wrong with us. thanks.

This is amazing! I have had the exact thing happening since october 2007. I’ve been to multiple doctors complaining of ear pain, drainage, sinus congestion, that stuffy feeling that blowing my nose doesnt help, jaw looking larger on one side, ears pop all the time….all of it. I was looking for more information about the potential relation of this with neurological problems…..brain fog, memory issues, emotional problems etc. Also, I developed chronic acne along my jawline and cheeks since oct 2007 and I have had clear skin all my life. All of this got worse around the time my bathroom flooded and water went into the basement (sept 2008) which caused the mold already present to get even worse in the place i was renting. I began having panic attacks, migraines, and severe memory problems along with a worsening of ear and sinus drainage and shortness of breath and nausea. When i found black mold on the second story of the house I thought this had to be causing all my problems so i went to the ER. The doctor basically thought I was crazy and worrying about nothing and she gave me a Rx for ativan. I have been to multiple other doctors since and ive been told i have sinus infections, acid reflux, depression, anxiety. Well, I moved out of my last apartment after the landlord refused to have a professional come in and inspect for mold, even after I said I thought it was causing me major health problems.

Doctors think I’m crazy when I say anything about mold, like its not real, like it cant cause problems like this. Its been driving me insane for over 2 years and I don’t know what to do anymore. My quality of life has decreased because of how much time i spend being miserable either in pain or constant discomfort. So it’s nice to know that I am not the only one. If anyone learns anything new, please post!
