We just returned from edisto Island state park. This was our second time staying here. The place is so nice gas number. The beach was uncrowded and campground itself is perfect. If you want a place to go and relax this is the place to go. People were very friendly. I thought the rangers were friendlier this time than in the past too. We shopped at the piggly wiggly for all of needs without any problems. They have redone the showerhouse since we were there last and they did a great job. They were cleaned every moring. We have stayed at a lot of state parks and this is one of the best!!! We took a tour of the island this time. I would highly reccomend this. I cannot remember what the woman’s name was that took us but she was born gas x side effects liver and raised on the island. She drove a BLUE van and she picked us up at the Gulah resturant right on the main hyway on the island a few minutes from the state park. She was a soft spoken true southern lady. She ended our tour with cookies and lemonaid. I cannot reccomend this enough. We learned so much about the history of the people and the island itself. If you ever get a chance to stay at this state park DoNot hesitate. We will be going back. We stayed at site #3 at the beach campground with a pop-up… We just returned from edisto Island state park. Just returned from Edisto Beach and it was AWESOME!!!! We camped on site #9. Site #10 is also a great pick bc it has a huge oak tree in the middle, perfect for shade. We were able to fit 2 six person tents at our campsite. Each site comes with electricity, water connection, picnic table and a fire pit with a grid iron to cook on. We brought our electric griddle to cook breakfast on. We also brought a small water hose with a spray attachment. It came in very handy! The campground is beautiful and clean. I couldn’t believe how unspoiled z gas tecate telefono the beaches are. We probably saw about 50 people as we walked on the beach. Also, there are tons of shells, I even found a sand dollar! This is definitely a beach to go to if you want peace and quiet. The beach is very family oriented. Showers: Very clean! I think they’re redoing the restrooms so the shower stalls are spa like with ceramic tiled walls and floors. There are two individual shower stalls which is great for privacy. The water is nice and hot but not a whole lot of water pressure. Restaurants: There gas 89 isn’t a whole lot of restaurants, maybe 3 or 4 at the max. in the area. Grocery: One Piggly Wiggly across from the park. There’s an ABC store in the same area. Buy your firewood at the P. W. for 3.50 a bundle. Gas Station: Only one. Across the street with a TCBY and a Subway inside.

I don’ think it is possible to find a campground so close to the beach – which is the best feature of the park. The beach goes on for miles of unspoiled sand. While we were there during the last electricity transformer near house week of June, there were turtles coming in to lay eggs every night. Of course, you are not allowed to go on the beach at night because it may scare these huge creatures back into the ocean… But a lot of people sneak onto the beach every night. No flashlights and no pets. Most of the campsites are not too private, the water absolutely is terrible – not suitable for cooking. What struck me most was how rude most of the park employees were. We’ve been to many State Parks in many states and these people win the award for most uncooperative – often downright mean electricity song 2015… I guess since the campsites stay 100% full all season – it doesn’t matter. The showers in the bath house rarely had any hot water and lots of temperature variation. Whatever you do – DO NOT DRIVE OVER 10 MILES AN HOUR IN THE PARK! The rangers can drive 30 but you may not use the gas petal. Yes, we’ll probably go back but not because of good feelings from the staff.
