Meet me and my life! I am a wife, mom, and realtor. I like to enjoy the area and the fun things the Augusta, Evans, Martinez, Grovetown areas have to offer. This is a great place for families and there are a lot of options for recreation, here is a little preview of my life!

Cultural | There are many cultural opportunities to take advantage of during your visit to the Augusta Metro area. Whether you are visiting for a weekend or live here, there are many activities and sites to take in during a weekend or on a regular basis. You can take a nice walk and see some great scenery of the Savannah River at the Augusta Riverwalk . If you are

interested in the arts, don’t miss the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art , Augusta Museum of History , Imperial Theatre , James Brown Arena , The Morris Museum of Art , Sacred Heart Cultural Center , Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History , and the Boyhood home of President Woodrow Wilson .

Shopping | Enjoy plenty of shopping that will satisfy your every look and genre, from the individual attention of local boutiques at Surrey Center to national retailers at the Augusta Mall . Augusta, Grovetown, and Evans all have access to Costco , Sams , and Cabela’s . We are excited that in 2016 Premier Outlets of Georgia @ Augusta will be joining the Village at Riverwatch, right off of I-20 at exit 199 near the Augusta Canal and the Savannah River. Outdoor retailer Gander Mountain is also coming to Columbia County in late 2014.

Sports | Through Columbia County Parks and Recreation, Richmond County Parks and Recreation, club, school, and YMCA recreational leagues, there are opportunities for all age groups to be active. The Augusta Sports Councilis involved with many area sporting events such as marathons, a 70.3 Ironman, disc golf, and co-ed flag football and kickball leagues. The city of Augusta also has Adult Athletic Programs.

Summer Activities | There are a multitude of summer camps in the summer. Many neighborhood have pools that are included in the Homeowner’s Associations and many neighborhoods have swim teams that compete with each other. The area splash pads are open and the outdoor pool at the Y is available to Y members. If you are looking for a easy get-a-way, pack a lunch and head to Strom Thurmond Lake for the day to cool off. The lake is only about 25 minutes from Augusta and offers many day use areas with beaches for swimming, grills, picnic tables, and restrooms. Some other activities that occur in the Summer are:

Fall Activities | There are plenty of things to keep you busy as the weather cools off. Augusta is proud of the Arts in the Heart Festivalthat takes place every September in downtown Augusta. There are fine artists, the Global Village that hosts ethnic food from around the world, and four stages providing performances from groups in the area. To help get you ready for college football, you can check out Border Bash, this is a friendly party on the Savannah River between the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Georgia Bulldog fans the Friday before their rivalry game, come see the team’s cheerleaders and mascots! If you are ready for fall and Halloween, you need to stop by Steeds Dairy to let the kids have fun at the petting zoo, jumping pillow, tube slide, play area.
