We recently traveled to Sunderbans through backpackers on a 2n/3day package (Nov 27/28). Experience was moderate – right from the travel arrangements, accommodation, food and the boat safari. The travel arrangement included travel for about 2.5 hrs. in a non ac Tempo Traveler, couple of boat rides, local tumtum ride and little bit of walking. The entire travel took about 3.5 hrs and then we arrive at the eco village of 9 to 10 huts (our accommodation) which is located next to a small local village. The accommodation was very basic, with a small room which was not clean pass gas in spanish and very hygienic (acceptable in a jungle). Electricity in the entire village is provided through solar systems. The evenings involved a local village gas pump icon walk/evening safari and local music performance- all very basic, but little different/interesting. The food and BF was cooked by the villagers – simple and nice. Next day early morning we left to locate tigers on a boat.. After a 10 hour boat ride (BF/Tea/lunch was served on the boat) – the only animal we were able to see was crocodile and few species of birds. There was no sign of tiger anywhere. And this is what disappointed me the most. It’s said that “tigers avoid human beings and hence it is very difficult to locate tigers in any reserve in India”. Everything was very basic about _ Tour De Sunderbans – but the most fascinating part was the high level of enthusiasm in the entire team of backpackers – be it guide/ be it the tempo driver or people working in the eco-village – always smiling /willing to help and trying to make the trip comfortable. I believe wildlife and bird lovers would find the place very average as they may not locate the desired animals and birds. But it’s a good place to cherish village life with the enthusiasm of backpackers and one never knows that he or she could be lucky enough to locate the royal Asian animal – the TIGER More Show a gas is a form of matter that less

It was a great time to visit Sundarban. The weather was not hot and humid, also not very cold. Sailing under warm sun for whole day was electricity kwh usage calculator a very relaxing and refreshing after a tiring week. Now talking about TOUR DE SUNDARBAN, they are good. They know how to do business. Pickup was nice. A decent guide throughout the tour and a very well planned and executed trip. Just I thought it could have improved at some places like: Stay: I understand that the budget was tight and staying in a remote island is never easy. But still the room were far away from being hygienic. It was not very well cleaned. Linens to floor to washroom all needed national gas average 2007 a proper cleaning. Food: I am not sure that how such smart businessmen who are into hospitality business made this mistake. Generally who travels a lot are food lovers. The food was good but insufficient. Just a small piece of fish..!!! It was alarming for me. May be because my on last trip to Sundarban with other tour operator, I was fed very nicely. Behaviour of the staff: We were in a group where majority of public was foreigners. I understand that they are out guest and we should take care of them very nicely. But they got so much involved with them, that we started feeling neglected at some instances. For example: They were offered a nice well painted clean boat, where as we were forced to take electricity games an old dirty boat, whose photo also I could not share with my friends. But other than that, it was a pleasant stay. Very well organised. Proper utilization of time. And a variety of things included. I would have easily given them 5/5 if the above instances didn’t happen. But I would still give them a 4/5.
