Great place as always – review of sugar land marriott town square, sugar land, tx – tripadvisor m gasol nba


We probably get away for an extended weekend stay to this fabulous hotel 4 – 5 times a year. Believe it or not this amazing hotel is a gem stashed away in Houston’s suburban Sugar Land on a village street of fine boutiques and restaurants and right across the street from the Sugar Land City Hall & Town Square. From the minute we pull up to the front entrance we are greeted and welcomed by the valet staff. Then we are assisted with our luggage by Robelio who always has a huge smile on his face and makes you feel like family is welcoming you home. The front desk staff under the direction of Carmen are welcoming, friendly and efficient – they can never seem to do enough for you. The on-site restaurant The Burning Pear also has a superb staff who, again, just can’t seem to do enough for you; there’s Rawna, Luz, Veronica, Jose all serving their guests under the amazing leadership of Perlyn who always pitches in and helps them. The lobby bar is a match for everything else that’s wonderful in this hotel: ambience, relaxation, a good wine selection, excellent drinks, a nice food menu and super fine service from Angela and Johnnie. The guest rooms are spacious and very nicely appointed. There is a large well equipped fitness center that leads to a beautiful outdoor pool up on the 3rd floor. We keep going back for 4-5 day extended weekend getaways as the Sugsr Land Marriott Town Square is our paradise away from home in the center of everything in suburban Houston. You can’t go wrong with this amazing hotel and it’s superb facilities and staff.

Dear Tracie W., Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. Since your post only has your first name and an initial for your last name, I was not able to identify which day you stayed at the hotel. I will assume that it was either Friday night or Saturday night. Unfortunately, we do not control what happens in the Town Square. We do see the types of events that are held via the Sugar Land Town Square event list. The was a 8k run schedule Saturday morning and a Walk of Hope scheduled for Sunday morning. Based on the schedule of events, there was no "band" or any assumption that there would be loud music at either event. There are some instances where the space at city hall is leased and those events are not listed on the event site. I spoke with the person who was answering phones both mornings and she stated that she was merely letting the guests that called down about the music know that from where she sat answering phones, she could not hear the music. Her intentions were not to question whether you were hearing the music. Based on your comments, it did not appear that there was anything that was in control of the hotel that impacted your stay. I apologize if you felt that the hotel "did not deliver", but again, we were not responsible for the event that was creating the noise.

Dear Sara, thank you for taking the time to post your comments. In regards to WiFi charges, the WiFi is complimentary in the lobby area. If you are a Marriott Rewards Platinum or Gold member, WiFi is complimentary, but you still have to log on to the network and your Rewards status will recognized and the internet will not be charged. Guests that are not Platinum or Gold members, do not receive complimentary internet. Valet parking is indeed $25 per day, we do have over 2000 covered parking spaces that are complimentary within a couple minutes walk. Unfortunately, there was a power outage as the power company was changing out transformers. We have an emergency generator at the hotel that powered up when the electricity was turned off. We also rented a much larger generator to power up the entire hotel. Unfortunately, CenterPoint energy would not allow us to have our generators on 100% of the time as it was impacting their ability to perform their tasks. We called every guest room and spoke to those guests that were in their room, there were signs in the elevator, signs taped on guest room doors and the last update was slid under each guest room door.
