Halong bay -with lan ha bay the highlight – vega travel, hanoi traveller reviews – tripadvisor electricity electricity schoolhouse rock

We spent the first 24 hours in Halong Bay, including the first night on the boat. On the 2nd day we went to Cat Ba Island for hiking and bicycling in a lovely, unspoiled area and then kayaking in Lan Ha bay electricity generation efficiency. We kayaked near the floating fishing villages, and we were also taken to a remote and gorgeous lagoon with stunning rock faces rising on every side.

The next morning we cruised for a couple of hours through Lan Ha Bay, one of the highlights of the trip, gorgeous and peaceful and few… Very few HaLong Bay tours include a day in Lan Ha Bay, which was the highlight of the tour. Equally as visually beautiful as HaLong Bay, but very few tour boats and more pristine water! HaLong Bay is spectacular and not to be missed on a trip to the north Vietnam, but highly recommend the trip we did for 2 nights/3 days to include Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island. The cost of $170-$190 per person covered EVERYTHING for the entire trip. Vega Travel provides a great itinerary and very professional service for a mid-range cruise. Our guide Danny was one of the best tour guides we ever experienced, fluent in English, engaging, highly competent, professional, and enthusiastic. We spent the first 24 hours in Halong Bay, including the first night on the boat. On the 2nd day we went to Cat Ba Island for hiking and bicycling in a lovely, unspoiled area and then kayaking in Lan t gas terengganu Ha bay. We kayaked near the floating fishing villages, and we were also taken to a remote and gorgeous lagoon with stunning rock faces rising on every side. The 2nd evening we spent the gas stoichiometry formula night in Cat Ba town in a very decent hotel, although the main drag of the town is loud and neon-lit. The next morning we cruised for a couple of hours through Lan Ha Bay, one of the highlights of the trip, gorgeous and peaceful and few other boats around, then re-entered HaLong Bay to complete our trip. A few places for improvement: The food on the boat is varied and plentiful, but not gourmet like the food you can find all over Hanoi, even in the smallest places. Breakfast was very simple – eggs with large stacks of white bread not even toasted. Lunch and dinner had many different dishes, like stir-fries with meat similar to Chinese food, many vegetables and large hunks of fish that could use some sauce, egg rolls rather greasy and fruit for dessert. The best food we had was our spring roll-making class on the boat the first evening – all fresh ingredients, delicious, with fish sauce for dipping (where was the fish sauce for the other meals?) Also we spent the second half of the trip on what was called the junk boats – i.e. similar to a Chinese junk, however this boat was much smaller than our main cruise boat, with a loud engine, no cabins, and whereas the first day the upper deck had chairs and cushions for gas vs electric water heater lying on deck, on the last day the boat was more stripped down and didn’t even have enough cushions for 6 people to use on deck. I would recommend this cruise for younger, adventurous people who don’t put a premium on comforts, or any traveler who wants to have a varied, adventurous experience for gas emoji meaning a reasonable price. It is not a luxury tour, but since it seems to be one of the few tours that goes to Lan Ha Bay, it’s a very worthwhile experience! More Show less

The other reviews are consistent with the experience we had on the Vega cruise. Our guide Thai (sorry if spelt wrong!) was great and made the trip memorable. The weather also worked out and was very pleasant which apparently can be spotty for early January. We kayaked around the bay, saw wild monkeys which was unexpected, and also found ourselves in a huge cave on the first day. For the most part we avoided the huge crowds and lines which was nice. The second day we hiked to the top of one of the giant rocks which had stairs built in to climb. The views were amazing from the top though we had to fight some crowds to get up initially. Food was pretty good and the rooms were nice and clean. I also wasn’t sure what expectations I had for the food here so it probably won’t be the best you eat while in Vietnam. The rooms were cool/funky. Toilet and showers were in the same tiny room with a mirror so everything gets wet when you shower. Temps were great all around so didn’t really need the AC unit in the a gas has no volume room. Overall a great time and we will remember this for a long time!
