Harmony™ breastpump medela kansas gas service bill pay

####

Disappointed I bought the Medela harmony a month ago in preparation for returning back to work. I loved this pump! I was easy to use and less restricting that being plugged into a wall with an electric pump. However, I am incredibly disappointed. After a few uses, the suction stopped working. I was at work when this happened and I needed to pump. I live an hour away from my work so I could not go home and get my electric pump. I had no other option but to run to the store and purchase another one. I was frustrated but assumed this was a fluke. Well it happened again! This time only after 1 use! I realize it is the white o ring on the handle that broke off both times. I am frustrated because I used the product correctly, did not wash the handle, and now have spent 100 on breast pumps in 1 month! As a new mama, this is definitely not what I wanted to be worrying about. I called customer service, and knowing that Medela is a big company, assumed that they would refund me the cost of the 2 broke products. They did not. Instead they sent me 2 o rings and some bottles. While it was nice that they were trying to compensate, ultimately, this is an unreliable and cheap product. I would have expected Medela to stand behind their product more. Instead it seems as though they simply recognize that the o rings always fall off and just keep sending them out to people. Anyone who pumps knows that when you need to pump, You NEED to pump. It seems as though Medela is doing nothing to improve their product or keep their customers. Why would I purchase another pump at this point? Incredibly unreliable, and reliability is exactly what you need as a working mama.

Do not buy!!! This is the first time I’ve ever wrote a bad review on a product. That’s how upset I am with this product and the lack of a warranty. I wanted to make sure moms or mothers to be do not buy it until the product is redesigned. This is my second time breastfeeding, a friend recommend this pump to me so I was excited to use it. After maybe 2 months of using it a handful of times while on a vacation to the DR (when I needed it the most) It stopped working. I couldn’t buy one in the country we were in. So I painfully had to push the milk out manually into the pump. I called customer service when I returned and the lady knew right away the issue. She pointed out a ring that was missing and informed me that is happens all the time. Also, the warranty was a month which is useless. I was over that time and I’d have to buy another handle. That’s almost the same as buying a whole new pump. The instructions do not mention anything about a tiny O ring that will fall out and get lost. My friend then gave me hers & the same thing happened after a short period of time. Again on a trip while pumping the the car. There’s no way as a busy mother you can keep track of something so tiny nor should you. Breastfeeding is hard enough. What bothers me the most and the reason for this review is that I’ve bought 2 electric expensive Medela pumps and countless other products and as a company they know this is an issue and haven’t changed the defective product. Or give a few extra O rings that probably cost less than 5 cents to help us out. I’m buying another brand today.
