Speaking of fishing, there are several bait shops nearby and the garage is equipped with a fish cleaning station that is available year-round and an upright deep freezer to store your fish until you leave. Or if you prefer, there are large deep fryers and an electric skillet available for use to cook up your catch!

In order to make the experience enjoyable for all guests, smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property and neither are pets, however, there are kennels nearby. We are located in a peaceful and quiet family-friendly neighborhood, so we ask that you are respectful of the neighbors and their property. During summer months (Memorial Day – Labor Day) we only rent the home weekly from Saturday to Saturday. Other times of the year, the home can be rented nightly with a two night minimum stay required. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, our home and neighborhood is NOT available and we ask that you look elsewhere. Also, please note that our minimum rental age is 25.

Houghton Lake is centrally located and easily accessible from I-75 or U.S. 127 and is within an hour or two of many of Northern Michigan’s tourist attractions and activities, making this house the perfect place from which to base day trips to nearby cities. To make your experience at our Houghton Lake home second to none, we provide bath towels, bed linens and a generous starter supply of paper products, hand/dishwasher soap, and general cleaning supplies as well as cleaning before and after your stay. Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed. Pontoon rental option is at the discretion of the owner and is only available to our guests. The boat is only rented weekly during the Summer Rate period for $800.00 with a refundable deposit of $250.00. A separate rental contract, deposit, and rental fee are required for the pontoon rental and we do require proof of a state approved boater’s safety/education course (these can be taken online) or sufficient marine/nautical experience. Please inquire about pontoon rental requirements at the time of your property rental inquiry. The boat may or may not be available during the periods on either side of the Summer Rate depending on the climate. If it is out of storage and in the water during these off-season times, it is available for rent to our guests at a rate of $100.00 daily.

Whether you choose to rent our pontoon and/or bring your own watercraft, there is room at the dock to accommodate both. Because the boat is tied up to the dock just steps from your door, there is no need to hassle with a hoist or to wade out through the water to access your boat at a mooring buoy. Simply hop in and you are immediately underway and enjoying the abundant water related activities that Houghton Lake has to offer!
