How good is netflix in india – quora electricity song 2015

Netflix is as good as BIGflix in INDIA. For viewing Netflix you need to have a good internet speed, that’s the first pre-requisite. Secondly if you are a series watcher maniac i.e. if you can’t wait for the next episode to come , Netflix is the place where you would like to spend your time. Some of the biggest TV shows are aired in Netflix. Sadly for Game of Thrones lovers it is a big appointment for them. But here are 5 things which you need to know about Netflix in INDIA.

• Netflix is being offered for free in the first month, but even for that you need to have a credit card. You need to enter details, which wouldn’t be charged but after a month you will need to manually deactivate the subscription. As of now, it is not following RBI guidelines of two factor authentication, so Netflix could find itself in hot-soup with the government. Uber also found itself in a similar situation in India last year.

• There are three subscription options a basic one for Rs 500/month which works with one device and offers SD resolution video. Then there is the Rs 650/month option which works with two devices and offers HD quality video and finally, there’s the top tier plan which is for Rs 800/month and it works with 4 devices and supports up to Ultra HD resolutions. Now these prices are slightly cheaper than what is being offered to users in the US. Realistically speaking for Indians, the best plan seems to be the Rs 650/month as there are very few devices in the market that support Ultra HD video

• NetFlix says that it is not censoring any content in India. Now, that’s good news for the people who get irritated with censored content, but at the same time shows like House of Cards, which is a Netflix original is now available in India.

• Currently, the library of content is quite thin. For instance, in the Sci-Fi section, there are only 32 titles on the whole. Notably, there’s not even a single Star Wars movie. A lot of popular movies like Man from the U.N.C.L.E aren’t available yet on the service while you can watch the same movie in India via other services. Also, if you think that you will be able to watch a show like the Game of Thrones on the service, then think again because it is an HBO Exclusive.

• Before taking the plunge, you should also know that you can’t download any of the videos on the service, and streaming an HD movie can take up as much as 3GB. Make sure your broadband plan has big data cap for its fair usage policy. Netflix also says that a 5MBPs connection is recommended for smooth streaming. If that’s not the case then perhaps, Netflix could be an expensive proposition for you

Netflix has definitely given a wide range of shows to Indian audience now. Many of the shows which were mostly viewed in US & Canada and parts of Europe , now they are widely streaming in Indian sub-continent. Starting from the subscription amount of 500/- a month for Ultra HD contents , though for some viewers it may be tough as it requires a good speed internet connection , many people have started to like Netflix.

In the beginning Netflix didn’t have much of a content to show though it kept the 2008 show Breaking Bad alive and they started off with “Originals” bandwagon — producing new, scripted shows like House Of Cards (2013) and Orange Is The New Black (2013), and promoting its now-trademark “binge-watch” model — the streaming service did audiences a bigger service.

• Daredevil – The first in a planned series of shows detailing the Marvel universe, "Daredevil" follows Matt Murdock, attorney by day and vigilante by night. Blinded in an accident as a child, Murdock uses his heightened senses as Daredevil to fight crime on the streets of New York after the sun goes down

• Stranger Things – 9/10(IMDB) and 95%(Rotten Tomatoes) do i need to say more? Well, inspired by a time when tales of science fiction captivated audiences. When Joyce’s 12-year-old son, Will, goes missing, she launches a terrifying investigation into his disappearance with local authorities. As they search for answers, they unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries.
