Hurried northern light tour – review of extreme iceland, reykjavik, iceland – tripadvisor electricity dance moms song

We have a total of 16 people so we booked a private tour with them for 3 tours. Day 1 was The Golden Circle Tour followed by the northern light tour. The day tour was supposed to be 8-9 hours and northern light tour was supposed to be 4 hrs. That was written in the responses they sent me before we decided to book with them. The first day they sent a bus that didn’t fit all of us – not sure how that happened as we paid for 16 ppl. We had to wait for another bus to arrive so we didn’t start out until 11:30am. The day tour went well, but by the time we got to the geyser, it was pretty dark and extremely cold. Couldn’t take any good pics. The northern light tour was a joke- I should demand all my money back because the driver made 2 stops by the side of the road on our way back to our hotel and the stops were for about electricity games online free 15-20 min each with all of us cramped inside the bus. There was no other tour buses around or anywhere near us – if it was a good viewing site, I would have expected other tours there. He got out of the car for a smoke break and checked his phone app to track the solar magnetic activities. The guide told us that he will take us again the next day (we had another tour with him) but he didn’t. Basically he said weather was bad but when we got back in town, all other tours were commencing. We were so disappointed. The northern light tour was a rip off since it was 20 min tops, not the 4 hrs they promised. We also booked the south shore tour with them. Both the day tours were ok. We love Iceland but will have to find another better tour operator. The northern light tour was a total rip off. More Show less

Dear At526, first let me thank you for booking with us and leaving us this feedback. I have just finished reading through all the communication and am happy to see how much you enjoyed the day tour you had with us and all the beautiful stops along the Golden Circle. We are truly sorry for sending the wrong van the first time around, this was a human error after a long day and we sincerely apologize for it. This private northern lights tour gas house eggs you booked had a maximum of 4 hours duration. This includes driving from the city to the locations, stopping at the two spots and driving back. We are so sorry that we weren’t lucky enough to see the lights that night and wish we could have tried again the day after but with the weather acting out it couldn’t have worked. About the time spent gas welder job description looking for the lights: What likely happened is that the guide didn’t want to waste your time with staying out unnecessarily long. Our guides have a lot of experience looking for the Northern Lights and will use various forecasts to see concerning our chances. If the guide decides that there are no chances to find the Northern Lights we will need to trust his analysis. I understand this might be frustrating to you as you feel you didn’t get the maximum chance to hunt for the Northern Lights but the guide did go to two different places too look for them. Even so we are truly sorry that you didn’t get to see them and have partially refunded you for this. Hope you enjoyed your stay here in Iceland as a whole. Safe travels! Kind regards, Ragnheiður.

Extreme Iceland was the 3rd party company that handled the excursions through Grayline Co. We booked our Westman Islands Pompeii of the North tour through them. They were very efficient and picked us up on time to be dropped off at the Gray Line Terminal at Holfagarour. Upon arrival, we needed to get a ticket re-issued at the Gray Line desk in order to transfer to a smaller bus that met us at the parking lot. You need to keep your eyes out for the buses as they may not be labeled or identified and can easily pass you up. They may not come out and gas prices in texas look for you; therefore, do not plan to wander around too far. It was roughly a 2 hour ride to the ferry terminal at Landeyjahofn- we met at the ferry terminal office where our guide gave us our ferry tickets to get on the 9:45a.m. ferry to the Westman Islands– a 35 minute ride or so. The guide also gave us our return ferry tickets and reminded us to get back on the ferry before the 6:45p.m. departure time at 7:20p.m., then transfer back on the shuttle bus for a 2 hour ride back to Reykjavik. It was a very well organized day trip to the Westman Islands for the Heimaey Circle Tour- starting with a boat cruise, lunch (on our own) but with the group at an assigned restaurant that serves many choices, then the shuttle bus tour for the Heimaey Natural History, which includes a stop at the world famous Storhofoi- puffin nesting cliffs and windiest place in Iceland as well as a visit to the Eldheimar Museum. Despite the rain, high winds and rough weather upon arrival, the Captain did a great job to take us around Heimaey, visiting the sea caves, witnessing birds flying around the cliffs and explaining about the landscape of this unique island off Iceland. A long day– over 15 hours for this tour but well worth it.

We had booked our tour from Jokulsarion Glacier Lagoon to see the caves electricity towers health risks. We got there early, checked in and the bus left on time to head out. A quiet ride out with a group of about 10 of us. Upon arrival we literally put on our helmets and snow shoes and our guide told us our group can look around and not to go to the second level of the cave for safety concern, which is understandable, and that was literally it! There were a ton of groups here and all the other tour guides were talking about the cave, giving details and updates or at least a background. Christian and Thomas who drove us out were suuuuper bad tour guides and clearly didn’t care. It made me upset and i don’t think i would use this company again due to their lack of interest. The only reason i am giving them 5 stars is because our driver who picked us up on the way back, Silvy, saved the day. He was super informative and tried to fill in as much as possible. When he was asking us questions (assuming the guide had told us these basic facts) he was surprised when we literally knew nothing about the cave we had just visited. He was literally so helpful and picked up on the slack. Again, cave was cool, tour guide (more just like a babysitter) not so much. Probably pick a different company other than this to take a tour.

We booked 1 month in advance and decided the pick up point to be at Hallgrimskirja bus stop no.8. The pickup time was supposed to be from 8-8:30am. We were there at 7:45, stood in the rain and waited till 8:30 before we decided to message the tour as there is still no sight of the bus. To our horror, the tour gsa 2016 calendar replied that there was a system fault and that our booking was booked for the wrong date and that the bus has left and unable to fetch us that day. Luckily we had another to spare in Iceland so we are able to choose the next day for the tour. We realised there were 2 other couples who were at the bus stop were also not picked up by the bus as well. The tour itself was a little too packed, we did not have enough time to walk around and have lunch properly. The glacier walk was fun and a very interesting experience. Overall, I would say that go for the glacier walk tour but see if there are other tours offering it. Book with extreme iceland tour only if u have got extra days to spare. There were 15% refund done as compensation but it cannot compensate for the time wasted.

Dear KN T, first let us thank you for taking the time to write us this feedback on your experience when joining a tour with us. We are very thankful to get any kind of feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve and offer the best tours possible. We have been using a new IT system which has made a lot of things better but unfortunately had some faults in the beginning. We are so sorry that this affected your tour and want to tell you that this has been fixed. About the time spent at each spot and lunch: The daylight in Iceland at this time is so limited that we have found that people like to grab a meal and spend more time at the stunning locations than to sit inside and spend a good time eating when the light is so limited. We are sorry that you didn’t feel this way but to be able to fit in all the beautiful waterfalls, glacier hike and more we need to cut on lunchtime in winter. Last I would like to state that this is a very unusual experience, one that we are truly sorry about and again would like to note that this has been fixed. Hope you enjoyed your time here in Iceland. Kind regards electricity 101 powerpoint, Ragnheiður.
