Indochine – the dream holiday destination….. – vrbo 2 chainz smoking on that gas

Romantic, serene and peaceful, with the most beautiful views on the island, Villa Indochine is a dream holiday destination. Nestled among tropical gardens on a hillside overlooking the Caribbean Sea and the many islands of the BVIs, St John and Thatch Cay, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The home is beautifully decorated with antiques and original artwork, and a glamorous Far-Eastern aesthetic that gives the house its name. Centered around a large loggia and a smaller courtyard, both with their own stunning gardens, there is a large living room with six sets of French doors to let in the Caribbean breezes, three en-suite bedrooms (one with a king-sized bed, two with queen-sized beds), grand chef’s kitchen and charming dining-room, two glass-paned walls of which fold back to open it to the gardens of the loggia and courtyard. You may encounter the occasional hummingbird on its way from one to the other!

Coral stone steps lead down to the pool terrace where you can sit in the shade of the magnificent old-growth turpentine tree, or lounge on the terrace between the sunlit pool and the stunning blue waters of the Caribbean. Follow the garden path up the hillside to the “meditation” pavilion for a view that will take your breath away!

Indochine is perfectly situated to enjoy the many beautiful beaches of St Thomas, or to take the ferry to St John or Tortola. St Thomas’s renowned restaurants are all in easy reach, offering everything from casual beach-side dining to an elegant gourmet experience. Charlotte Amalie is a thriving water-front town with delightful beckoning alleyways (locally know as ‘gades’) that lead to numerous art-galleries, high-end jewelry and clothing stores, bars, cafes and restaurants. The Pistarckle Theater, our local multi-plex cinema and the remarkable Reichhold concert venue offer further entertainment. But, be warned, you may find you never want to leave the comfort and romance of Indochine Villa!

The hot tub (no jets) & the pool can be heated, if that is your preference. As electricity in the USVI is very expensive we regrettably have to implement a surcharge, but hopefully you will discover that they are not necessary to your comfort and enjoyment.

You will be met at the airport by the estate manager, Chloe, who will introduce you to the villa and answer any questions that may arise during your stay. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and champagne will be ready to welcome you, and it will be our pleasure to provide a continental breakfast on your first morning in paradise!

Our family enjoyed Indochine in June of 2017 and fell in love with the home. From working with Chloe for many months to working with her peeps she recommended it was an easy experience for the 11 of us. Everyone Chole recommended from Moes provisioning to Amalie Car rental made our trip a wonderful experience. we also looked into having a chef come in the first evening and the menus suggested looked amazing. Fortunatly we brought a chef with us (my brother) and he couldn’t wait to cook in the kitchen at the house.

The home is a very indoor outdoor living arrangement. Each bedroom has individual air conditioners as well as the living areas but most of the time they are open air. In June we used the ac but many times of the year the breezes should be enough.

If you are looking at a home in St Thomas I can’t imagine another property being more perfect than this one. We loved being closer to the red hook side of the island. Megan’s Bay, Lindquist beach, Coki beach are all close by – within 10-15 min. The red hook ferry being close was also a plus as we loved going over to St. John. Chole is so extremely helpful and will give you honest answers quickly to anything you want to know. Can’t wait to return…

11 family members arrived on the beautiful VI island over the Christmas Holiday. We are all well prepared thanks to the help of Chloe who handed the arrangements and provided great guidance with everything from car rental information to restaurants, churches for Sunday mass, Chloe was so helpful during our stay. The drive from the airport (I recommend a jeep but a car would also work) was about 45 minutes and as you try to find the street marked by four mail boxes (arrive in daylight) and you drive down the gravel lane up to the secluded gated property on the top of the island you will be amazed at every feature of this house and every view. The kitchen where we spent a lot of time as a family was completely open air with the bay of windows open the breeze was amazing. The view from the massive kitchen looked over the pool and straight down to St. John Island with seven islands acting as a ally way for all the boats and yachts passing by this vacation home atop the island. next to the kitchen was a open court yard and then the dining room. We used every inch of this villa. the walk way from the pool takes you to a meditation/party area looking straight down to St. johns. More than a few hours were spent high a perch sipping on coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. The whole house and outside area was wireless for internet if you care about such a thing. The one problem we had is we never wanted to leave the villa to explore the island! Everyone had a beautiful bedroom with a view all with their own showers and bath. We did force ourselves out to explore and if we were not cooking in this kitchen we hit some great local restaurants, just ask Chloe. We also made it to a few great beaches a full day at Magens Bay, pack a cooler with anything you might want to drink. There is also a great bar and shops at the main area. If you are up for a hike you must see Sandy Bay an amazing beach on the far west side of the island. Grad some milk shakes on the way back and back to paradise the what a villa!!!!! What a vacation!!!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our recent stay at the Villa Indochine. The house itself was amazing and had wonderful views and amenities. Chloe was such a help in getting us to the house and setting us up with a car rental…all at the last minute. She also made herself available throughout the week and stayed in contact without being overbearing. The Villa is far enough away from the downtown area that it’s peaceful and quiet, but close enough to get there within minutes. It was clean and extremely well maintained. The pictures do not do it justice. Even the local shop owners that were close by gave us great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. We spent quite a bit of time at the Villa because it was so beautiful and peaceful. There were 8 of us in total and not once did we feel crowded. The kitchen was our favorite place to gather, listen to music, play games, and cook! You cannot go wrong with the Villa Indochine and the manager Chloe is the cherry on top! If you’re there on a Friday night, make sure and check out Tavern on the Waterfront..amazing food and live jazz.
