They are currently recruiting for the position of an INLEC Maintenance Field Trainer based in Geoje, Korea.

Job Description

* Support the design and implementation of the Competency Assurance plan with specific focus on INLEC Maintenance technicians.

* Develop and/or review standard INLEC Maintenance specific learning resources including desired performance criteria and assessment requirements.

* Be involved in the development of INLEC Maintenance delivery methodology so as to ensure all INLEC Maintenance Technicians are competent prior to commissioning and start-up of the facility.

* Train and assess INLEC Maintenance Technicians in all facets of production operation including steady state and abnormal conditions.

* Identify training needs and learning opportunities using previous experience /gap analysis tools and implement an individual training plan to address learning gap.

* Co-ordinate schedule for training and conducting theory and practical assessments for INLEC Maintenance technicians.

* Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure the learning pathway aligns with the skills required for progression of INLEC Maintenance technicians.

* Continuous improvement maintained by updating operation and assessment resources in response to changes in operating and emergency procedures or equipment.

* Provide regular progress reviews to the Production / Maintenance Coordinator/Supervisor, and OIM, highlighting potential show stoppers/solutions for completion of required competence assessments.

* Ensure compliance with Australian Government regulations and standards including those set by AQF / NQC qualifications and competence assurance.

* Lead the internal validation of the assessment process to ensure high integrity of workplace assessment.

* Lead by example in the field of HSSE and Social Performance, show integrity and approachability in all facets of the Instructor and Assessor role.

Skills and Experience

* Significant experience in oil and gas or a similar Process with preference in LNG / Upstream or Utilities in an operational role, including; Delta V DCS, Delta V SIS, Siemens PLC, DVC Positioners, EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) – IEC, Electrical Drives and motor control, Foundation Fieldbus, HART Protocol, Power Generation and Distribution, Valve maintenance, Surge controllers, Boiler controllers, Process Instrumentation, Analysers (Gas chromatographs, Dewpoint, OIW, pH, conductivity etc), Condition Monitoring, Fire and Gas devices, VSD’s, HVAC Systems, Formal Training and Assessment certification in TAE-40110.

* Moderate experience as a Training Instructor and assessor in a process or technical field.

* Knowledge of or ability to learn relevant operations and maintenance procedures including Permit to Work.

* Technical capability with the ability to diagnose, understand and communicate on a range of technical issues across FLNG.

* Workplace Assessor – ability to use approved workplace assessments to objectively gather evidence and decide a candidates competence.

* Knowledge and experience of INLEC Maintenance with preference in GAS/LNG production and processing, LNG/LPG Storage and Loading, FPSO operations, Subsea Wells and systems, Steam and Power generation, DCS instrumentation and related systems.

* Proficient communicator and able to engage with key stakeholders on technical issues.

* Demonstrated ability to align team members towards business goals and deliver measurable improvements and outcomes.

* Champion, embrace and adapt to change and assist overcoming resistance.

* Ability and invested effort to coach and mentor less experienced team members, including holding honest performance conversations with colleagues and intervene to address patterns of under-performance as well as providing environment for open dialogue and raise issues.

* Recognises the value of diversity and is able to manage the sensitivities of a diverse workforce.

* High degree of self-motivation and ability to achieve beyond stated objectives.

* Ability to identify gaps in process and provide practical solutions that can deliver sustained improvement.

* Understand key stakeholders and customers’ needs and proactively manages these needs.

* Develops, implements and advocates HSE measures, demonstrating a willingness to pursue initiatives and actions to benefit the safety culture.

* Challenges with INLEC Maintenance technicians being employed from diverse industries both in oil and gas and non-oil and gas, a commitment to develop and deliver appropriate learning resources and assessment packages is the key responsibility to ensure a highly skilled and motivated production team is in place for initial start-up and ongoing operation / maintenance of the facility.

* The INLEC Maintenance Field Trainer will take an integral part in leading and building the learning culture and operational capability within the organisation.

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
