The MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation is a 22 year old organization operating in the urban core of Jacksonville, FL. Our mission is to develop champions in classrooms, on tennis courts and throughout communities. We currently manage an after school and summer youth development program with an $1.2 million annual budget and are in the midst of a $5 million capital campaign ($3.5m raised) to build a new Teen Center, adjacent to our current Youth Center. CLIMB (Community Leaders Igniting Mobility) is a non-profit coalition between Generation USA, United Way of Northeast Florida, and LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation) which aims at connecting leaders across our downtown Jacksonville neighborhoods: students and parents; educators and service providers; employers and civic leaders. We are seeking to grow our Business Development team. Reporting to the US Business Development Lead, the Jacksonville Business Development Manager will drive results in three areas: (1) identification and cultivation of new employer partners in Jacksonville, (2) identification and cultivation of community partnerships in Jacksonville, and (3) interaction with and cultivation of key funders in Jacksonville. The Executive Director will be the primary thought-leader, spokesperson, and administrator responsible for the efficacy, growth, and financial viability of the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership. Working collaboratively with Rollins College, nonprofit, civic, and philanthropic leaders, the Executive Director will be the outward face of the Institute and develop policy and programming to ensure that the Institute appropriately represents Rollins College and inspires excellence and innovation in nonprofit operations and collaborative impact. The Institute, known as EBI, offers certificate programs in Nonprofit Management, Leadership Practice, Volunteer Management, Proposal Writing, Fundraising and Development, and Board Orientation as well as dozens of workshops and networking events. EBI manages the Donors Forum of Central Florida, a membership association of area foundations, corporate giving programs, community funding agencies, and public funding organizations interested in promoting effective grant making. This position is a great position for someone who is looking to further their education in the field of substance abuse or mental health. You must have an aptitude to work with adults under stressful situations in their lives. This position will require someone attentive with excellent observation and monitoring skills to observe patient behavior. This position is in a “Hands Off” facility and at no time is staff allowed to put his/her hands on a patient to control or restrain them; The only exception is if the patient is in danger of hurting themselves another patient or a staff member. It is the requirement of this position to help protect the safety, security and wellbeing of the patients. The incumbent will conduct room inspections on a daily basis, documenting and posting results.
