Floating on the beautiful water of East Lake Union is SeaZen Float. This beautiful vessel was built in 2007 in a very green fashion with high quality construction and the environment in mind by 2 brothers with a lot of love. One of the brothers lived there for 10 years and sold her to me now because of a relocation. She is 46 feet long, has a 15 foot beam and a 24 inch draft. She has an aluminum, barge style hull.

There are hardwood floors on the main level that were just refinished. There are built-ins throughout the salon on the upper floor. It has a wet bar and a stone fireplace. In the galley there is a Chef’s kitchen has a gas stove and stainless steel appliances. The is a new grill just outside the kitchen. There is a porch on both the bow and stern of the main level with a relaxing sitting area. There is a powder room on this level.

The 2 bedrooms are on the lower level, both have comfortable queen size beds. There is a gorgeous 5 piece bathroom with a rain shower and a separate soaking bathtub. The bathroom has in floor heating. The walk in closet of the second bedroom hosts a full sized washer and dryer.

The rooftop deck will give you a 360 view of Seattle! Even on those occasional cloudy days there are spectacular views of the city. There is a rowing club right next door. I find it fascinating to watch the crew handling their shells. There are always sailboats, electric boats, power boats, kayaks, and SUP (paddle boards) active on the water so there is a lot to look at and enjoy while you are sitting relaxing and sipping on your favorite beverage. I do have a couple of kayaks if you want to get out on the lake and paddle around yourself.

I was born and raised in the Seattle area. I always dreamed of living on the water, and was able to fulfill that dream in 2015 when I moved into a floating home. At that time I wasn’t aware of the difference between a houseboat and a floating home. I since came to learn that a houseboat is tied to the dock, has a motoring means and has a hull as it is a boat. Houseboats are usually named just like other boats. A floating home is permanently attached to the dock, is supported by some means of floatation like logs or air filled barrels. They both provide an opportunity to feel the soothing rock of the the water.

I retired from a 35 year nursing career and now am pursuing other business adventures. I have raised 4 children and am now blessed with 7 grandchildren. I am lucky to still have my Mom with me and thankful that she moved here from California before I was born. There is no place that I would rather call home. I do enjoy travel and the experience other places and cultures.

I love being outdoors. When I am not out on the water playing, I love to golf, bike, ski, and hike. I absolutely love outdoor concerts in the summer with a picnic and bottle of wine! I have been practicing yoga since I was in college, but discovered aerial yoga a couple years ago and have been hooked ever since. My travels have taken me on a few yoga retreats, a couple of the highlights were one to India and the other was on a boat sailing the waters around Turkey and Greece.
