Loved this place…. – review of zendero tulum, tulum, mexico – tripadvisor electricity consumption

################

Super clean modern new hotel, excellent value. Our first time in Mexico-rented a car in Cancun (highly recommend Val Car rental (honest and reliable), paid what I was quoted for, no pressure for additional insurance. Drove 1.5 hours down to Tulum electricity 3 phase vs single phase. Used our phone for navigation prior to departing since we had no wi-fi, found Zendero easily. It was in town I expected it to be further out but it was actually perfectly situated. It’s a straight shot to the beach/hotel zone and short car ride to Coba. We rented bikes in Coba, rode through the jungle path and explored the area, climbed the ruins, it’s very steep but the climb and the view from the top of the ruin=spectacular! Alex and Eva worked the front desk, Eva was very welcoming, Alex offered up things to do-we had a plan of what we wanted to do but it was nice he offered. We rented bikes from the hotel for one day $20US, Tulum bike is right next door, next time we will rent from them for more days and cheaper price BUT the hotel bikes are NEW and cute and come with lock. They were awesome for riding to the beach and the Tulum ruins. While we rented a car we walked and biked almost exclusively while in Tulum. There is a grocery store nearby-we bought water from there to start. The hotel does give you two bottles per day…. Super clean modern new hotel, excellent value. They were awesome gas efficient cars under 10000 for riding to the beach and the Tulum ruins. While we rented a car we walked and biked almost exclusively while in Tulum. There is a grocery store nearby-we bought water from there to start. The hotel does give you two bottles per day. The bed was comfortable, housekeeping attentive. They gave us towels to take to the beach. The hotel is relatively quiet, there was a baby there and it did wake me up a couple of times. It did rain one night briefly and upon returning from dinner the hotel was dark, except it was litered w/ candles-very beautiful and romantic. Apparently when it rains it’s common for hp gas online booking no power outages in the area. It was warm sleeping but it wasn’t a big deal. The next morning power was back. I booked this hotel not only for location, price, and good review, all good, but for the free breakfast. It was DELICIOUS and beautifully presented! They serve refreshing fruit waters, bread muffin basket. The main breakfast (5 options on the menu) is filling enough that we skipped lunch and had early dinners most days. Helps stretch your dollar. My husband and I were delighted every morning. Julio (waiter) so attentive and accomodating. I give 5 stars to the breakfast and staff overall. Plenty of free parking. Password protected reliable WIFI. We ate at Burriot Amore (just OK) La Coquette (good) but the best was Taqueria La Eufemia in the hotel zone. Cool boho beach atmosphere- good food, good prices, live music! We had the BEST stay at Zendero Tulum. 19 rooms, not busy or crowded-We are already planning our next trip gas under a dollar. Book with them you will not be disappointed. Thank you Alex, Eva, Julio!!! Tulum is a beautiful gem, the beaches were gorgeous, the people friendly, the weather was outstanding, very memorable trip. **almost forgot, the roof top pool was a nice bonus-the night the power went out we went up and hung out there, I expected the water to be too warm but it turned out to be refreshingly cool-considering the heat which we LOVED!!! We arrived in Cancun with a preorganized transport, through Zendero, to Tulum. We made it through customs, got our frozen.margaritas, put in our sunglasses and we’re in our way (the driver stopped at a gas station so we could pick up some snacks, beer and mezcal for the room. When we arrived at Zendero we were greeted by Alex, who was great! Super hospitable and friendly and someone who we spoke with just about everyday. Breakfast in the morning was sufficient but limited, rooms were cozy but no real view of anything. Rooftop pool was enjoyable, we just asked for some glasses and ice at the front desk as there is no bar upstairs, and hung out up there after a day at the beach. On our last day we were to take our previous arranged taxi back to cancun, unfortunately this is where the visit went array. We were told we needed to pay the taxi driver at the airport, which was fine, we saved some American money for this. As we were leaving my girlfriend realized money was stolen from her bag. We did not put our money in a safe but rather hidden in our bags. When we expressed the frustration that the staff made static electricity definition science it point to physically go in our bags, Alex responded I can’t say these things don’t happen. My girlfriend and I both work in hotels and completely understand these things do happen and that we should have been a bit smarter, but it didn’t seem that any action was taken in the past it would happen in the future. Here is where it goes down hill, we get in the cab with no.money so the cab driver now has to take time to stop at an ATM. Which we stopped three times and none had ATM’S. WE finally made it to the airport and I withdrew money to pay for the taxi l. We gave him the money in both peso and USD, with an agreed sum. Once we arrived back in the states. Zendero kept calling us while on the subways, trains etc.. to let us know the the driver said we never paid and they would be charging my card the difference. We disputed and proved we did but that was a pretty bad ending to the trip. And the bikes broke down, twice. They send someone to fix them.. but they should just be free to rent at that point.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! My mom and I stayed here for 5 nights and 3 gases in the atmosphere this new hotel was AMAZING! The staff (Angel, Alex Eva) were incredibly helpful making the best recommendations for food and places to visit. From the minute we stepped into the door we were welcomed and helped. The breakfast every morning was delicious, unique and fresh! Wilburt made sure our coffee cups were never empty and always greeted us with a smile. The rooftop patio with pool was so perfect being right next to the jungle; you can watch exotic birds fly in when the sun is setting. The location of the hotel is perfect! It was only a 10 min walk to the center of town electricity facts label and right on Av Coba which leads to the coast and the natural reserve. It was only a 10 min bike ride to the beaches and there are restaurants close by. Even being so close to a main road and town, there was no outside noise in our room, which was perfect for my mom as she is a very light sleeper. We will be definitely be returning to Zendero! Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay exceptional!
