Luxury beach house – steps from the sand – vrbo gas efficient cars under 5000

##

We had a great weekend stay in Oceano – we used the opportunity to have a quick family reunion for Northern and Southern California family members. The house was clean and easily accessible – we had 6 adults fit comfortably and two kids squeeze in.

In terms of location. Access to the beach was ultra convenient as you only had to walk a couple steps and you were on the sand. Note that the beach is wide and (in October) the water was quite cold. Most of the people there were surfers with wetsuits. Most beachgoers were walkers along the shoreline who were trying to avoid the parade of cars and trucks that were making their way over to the ATV/recreation area. About a block or two away is Pier Ave which has the ATV rental places, a coffee/ice cream place and few other stores.

Amenities at the home – TV’s in the spacious family room and all the bedrooms, modern appliances in the kitchen, tasteful decor, WiFi, ping pong table in the garage, gaming sytems in the "blue bedroom" — all were fantastic but wish that there was shampoo provided, something small that we didn’t think we needed to bring with us.

When we first walked into this place we were in awe. It was so beautiful, spacious and tastefully decorated. The pictures does it no justice. This was probably the nicest beach house we ever rented. There were 8 of us who stayed for 3 nights and felt like we had so much room. On the second floor, the kitchen was stocked with the necessary tools to make our meals and large enough so us 4 adults could cook together. All the bedrooms were very nice and comfortable too. However our favorite place was the rooftop area at night while sitting in front of the fireplace roasting marshmellows (and drinking wine). This area offered spectacular 360 degree views of the beach and surrounding area. It also included a ladder up to another platform (small 4th floor) where a few can sit and enjoy. The beach was a couple of minutes from the house and we were able to take walks easily. The weather wasn’t so good but warm enough with a light jacket. Our favorite activity was riding ATVs in the sand dunes. Wow, that was our first time but so fun. Our youngest kids (age 12 yrs old) also did well with smaller ATVs. We really wanted a place to hang out, cook and spend time with our 2 families and this place was perfect for that.

I want to make a shout out to Logan who was available at a moments notice to respond to my text messages happily and even stopped by shortly to fill our gas tanks for the fireplace and BBQ. He was amazing and we are thankful for his support.

This truly is a beautiful home and perfect for three families. We were in town for a baseball tournament in SLO and Santa Maria. Each bedroom offers an attached full bathroom, which made it perfect for three families, each with one boy and two adults. The entire home is beautifully decorated, and the water pressure in the showers (each with multiple shower heads!) was amazing. Made you look forward to taking a shower! Every room in the house is extremely comfortable and very livable. All of the beds were very plush and the mattresses were amazing. The ping pong table in the garage led to hours of entertainment for all ages. The two bedrooms on the bottom floor made loading/unloading the cars very easy, and the master bedroom on the second floor was a huge master suite. The kitchen/great room on the second floor was a great common area for all families to hang out in, and the couches are very comfortable. The kitchen is complete with everything you need for a short or long stay. You cannot beat the location, a short drive to SLO and Avila Beach and across the street from Pismo Beach. The entrance to drive on the beach is less than a block away. Logan kept in touch via text the entire time of our stay to ensure that everything was OK and he was very responsive to our questions.
