I bought this property new in 2011 moving from the south side of town to the north to be in the area’s school district. I fell in love with this house at first sight. It was almost as perfect as if I had designed it myself. I knew it was ours! Our family worked side by side to build the koi pond and fire pit area. My daughter expanded her skills and drove the tractor! My sons built the pergola and deck. I did the planning and engineering and added the raised rose garden and path to a bird bistro. The home holds many special memories of pool days and game nights. When a move to a different school district for sports caused us to leave the home my heart was broken. As I looked around at every tree we planted and every spot we enjoyed being a family I knew other people could enjoy it too and decided to share it with you. Amarillo is a growing community that appeals to many interests. From sports to the performing arts, hiking to perusing museums, there really is so much to do and see. We hope you enjoy our home and Amarillo!

Very nicely decorated home with lovely backyard area. A couple min. from Cadillac Ranch and 30 min. from Palo Duro Canyon. We’ve rented a lot of houses, and this one is at the top of the list. The kitchen was well-stocked as was the rest of the house. Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc. Lots of hangars in closets, extra pillows and bedding, beach towels for hot tub, even bathrobes in bathroom! The huge hot tub (more like a small pool) was delightful after a day of hiking. Massage chair in master bedroom was amazing too. With 3 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, and a large room upstairs, there was more than enough room for 11. The teens in our group opted to have a "slumber party" in the upstairs room – 2 in the bed and 3 on air mattresses on floor – and there was still floor space for their luggage! There was plenty of room for our group to hang out together in kitchen and living room area. Owner contacted me several times to make sure we knew how to get in and answer any questions. Would definitely try to stay here if we ever visit Amarillo again.

If you can pull yourself away from the peace and relaxation of the home and its amenities make the short drive to Wild Cat Bluff, the Botanical Gardens, or the Discovery Center nearby. You can feed the geese at MediPark, or take in a movie at the theater just down the street. You can’t miss the Cadillac Ranch, but don’t forget your spray paint to leave your mark! There are many great restaurants nearby including SaltGrass, Red Robin, and On the Border to name just a few. If you like to shop, the mall is just minutes away or go antiquing on Historic Route 66 just a 14 minute drive. Kids will enjoy the indoor trampoline park, Air U, less than 10 minutes away and other activities in town like Wonderland Amusement Park and the Zoo. If you are a sports fan check out one of our local teams, Venom entertain in arena football, Bulls play a tough game of ice hockey, and Sox for that all-American baseball. If the Arts are your thing don’t miss the live productions of Amarillo Little Theater, the Lonestar Ballet Guild, the Symphony, and the Opera at the Globe News Center for the Performing Arts. Amarillo has a host of museums including the Quarter Horse Museum, RV Museum, and the Texas Air & Space Museum and many more. If you are in the mood for a hike or a day to get back to nature, Palo Duro Canyon is the place to go only 35 minutes away with a slew more activities including horseback riding, zip line, and the live outdoor musical, Texas. If you miss it maybe you can catch the Balloon Festival! There’s so much to see and do you just may have to make another trip and stay with us again!
