My boyfriend and I went to St. Lucia to celebrate my 40th. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Zatarra and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay at a house rather than a big hotel. The layout is perfect. I am an early riser and could go downstairs and enjoy my coffee without waking up my boyfriend upstairs. The second bedroom is downstairs so this would have been perfect if we had kids or another couple with us.

Rob (the owner) is an absolute gem and a very talented musician. Be sure to check him out while you are visiting. He performs all around the island. He greeted us at the home to show us around , gave us many recommendations and even came to see us off when we left the house. He was also always available for questions.

Overall I would definitely stay here if you want to save money on your hotel stay. There are many beautiful hotels in the area but everything I looked at was $1000 plus a night and we decided to use the money we saved to really tour the island and take advantage of the many activities that aren’t typically available on other Caribbean islands.

From the time that we walked out of the airport into the van with Lloyd for the trip to the house, we knew we were in great hands. Rob saw to it that all of our needs were taken care of the entire trip – from a car at the villa at our disposal for when we were feeling brave to drive the winding local roads, to Stanis’ taxi and tours taking us everywhere we wanted to go with the help of Lloyd and Lenny as our co-pilots, to Nancy who took care of the villa and even cooked us a local meal after a long day at the beach!!! The villa had all we could ask for to relax, enjoy and recharge from the busy work days that we were able to get away from in the States. The villa had many features that are hand crafted by Rob using local wood and other materials with doors that opened for the best breezes, roomy pool and patio area and not to mention the amazing rope hammock on the 2nd floor balcony over looking the beautiful Cap Estates neighborhood and golf and ocean views. We picked the location as it was far from the hustle and bustle of the cruise ship areas but still easy to get around in the villa car or Stanis, Lloyd or Lenny’s roomy and reasonably priced shuttle cars. We will be going back to the island of St. Lucia and we will be staying with Rob at Villa Zatarra again!!

We stayed at Rob and Veron’s beautiful home at the end of January, 2018. This home is located in Cap Estate, in the north/central part of St. Lucia, a short drive from many beaches, shopping and restaurants. Since we were a party of 4 (2 adult couples), we only rented 2 bedrooms (with 2 full bathrooms), but larger groups can rent the entire home. Our space included a full kitchen, large living/dining area, adjoining TV room, and outdoor patio and pool. The home is spacious, clean and comfortable, and Rob and Veron are great hosts. Rob came to meet us in the morning, and gave us lots of useful info about beaches, activities and dining. On our first day, we noticed that the fridge wasn’t as cold as it should be, and Rob had a repairman there to fix it immediately (on a Sunday!). They also leave a cellphone for local calls/ emergency use, as well as beach chairs and towels. Rob is a well known musician on St. Lucia, so as an added treat, we purchased tickets to see him perform on a sunset cruise from Anse Chastanet Resort. All in all, we highly recommend this beautiful property, with wonderful hosts who welcome you to their home, and do everything they can to help you have a great vacation.

Villa Zatarra is well located to take advantage of all the beautiful attractions the North of the island has to offer. A relaxing 10 min walk will bring you to an east coast beach, Cas en Bas. A vast stretch of beach great for collecting driftwood and watching the kite surfers or just having a late afternoon dip. If Golf is your hobby, then the Cap Estate Golf and Country club is just minutes from the villa. All the best restaurants, bars and nightlife in Rodney Bay are between 5-10 minutes drive and other great beaches from Le Sport to Pigeon Point are all a nice 15 min stroll away. Housekeeping is provided Monday to Friday and laundry service is available on request. Brochures are available on other activities such as ATV tour, Rainforest zip lining, helicopter tours and many more Other Activities: Shopping, kayaking, Boating, Parasailing, Sailing, Health Wellness/Beauty Spa Golf: Private Golf Lessons can be arranged with a professional golf coach, who regularly tours and coaches in the US.
