Memorable vacation – review of sanctuary at grand memories varadero, varadero – tripadvisor gas vs diesel towing

We just returned from a week at Sanctuary. The weather was perfect. The staff were amazing as they work tirelessly and always with a smile. For anyone travelling to Cuba, this is a great resort for quality of food. We would definitely return if we came back to Cuba. The sanctuary location ag gaston funeral home birmingham al in the resort was perfect if you love the beach. We didn’t have a perfect week unfortunately. We like to workout each day. The equipment in the gym was dated and was in disrepair so we didn’t have that option. We had a butler emphatic we met on day one. Never saw him again. We were told he was fired. We had an issue with the currency exchange as we gave them 40 dollars and only received 30 dollars back. We raised it as an issue and they refused to acknowledge the error. It doesn’t bother me as it was only 10 bucks but I don’t appreciate dishonesty. Overall we had some unique challenges but I would still recommend bp gas prices chicago the hotel. Here are some suggestions so you don’t have the same challenges we did. – bring facecloths and Kleenex. None in the room. – bring sunscreen and bug spray for sand fleas. If you spend time at the beach, you will risk getting flea bites. – you will need to get to the pool or beach by 6 A.M. latest if you want a shady spot. – don’t tip your butler til you see him/her again during the week – the Sanctuary main restaurant is very la gastronomie good for all meals. They change the menu each night. The oriental and Italian are decent alternatives. – bring Benydryl if you get flea bites. Anti itch lotion too – if you go to Havana for the day, book a private tour instead of a bush tour. More personal and flexible. Not that much more per person. We had 6 travellers.

We really enjoyed our most recent stay at this beautiful resort. It was great to be welcomed back by so many familiar faces (staff and guests gas zombies). Our room was very spacious. We stayed in a deluxe suite, ground floor, pool facing. It’s exactly what we had requested when we made our booking with Sunwing. Special thank you to Hilda for ensuring our room request was met. The room was kept extremely clean and well stocked with toilet paper and linens. We were always met with a smile and a nice chat whenever we saw our maid. The towel and blanket art was something we looked forward to and were never disappointed. Each guest has a designated butler. This year Juana a level physics electricity equations made sure that our needs were met. Butlers and staff that we have known from past visits made sure they always stopped by for a chat and that we had everything we needed, thanks to Gretchel, Jorge, Rennier, JCarlos, Hanoy, Manuel (apologies for spelling errors and austin electricity outage forgetting some names). Let’s just say that the staff were wonderful as always! The grounds are beautifully kept. The gardeners are hard working and very pleasant. Always a warm greeting and a few gifts made from the plants too. The food was good at each of the restaurants that we visited. This year we ate at the Sanctuary restaurant, Ging Seng, the Gourmet and the Cuban. We had a great dining experience at each gasbuddy diesel of them. Our lunches were mostly spent by the pool. We enjoyed the drinks and burgers with poutine from the pool snack bar. Great service as always from Roxanna, Barbe and the rest of the staff. Evenings were spent mainly in the Sanctuary bar. We enjoyed the live entertainment, especially the rock band – just wish they could have played longer. Bar staff were very friendly, attentive and always remembered your drink of choice. The animation team always stopped by to say hello and make sure we were enjoying our time. Nice to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones (Dayana, Deglys and Meny are a few of the names I remember). We truly enjoyed our stay gas pedal lyrics and look forward to our next visit.

First off, my husband and I are not the type expecting to be waited on hand and foot at a resort and we realize this is not a first world country. We do expect good service at restaurants and high standards of cleanliness/sanitation. This is a totally honest review of our experience: PROS: **The beach! Gorgeous! The sand is raked with a tractor every morning to get rid of whatever washes up overnight. Amazing water **Our room was very good. Large, good bed except the sheet didn’t fit the bed, hot water all the time electricity billy elliot instrumental, AIR CONDITIONER WORKED :), fully stocked fridge, safe for valuables, bottles of spirits, always cleaned well **We had our own butler who took care of whatever reservations, tour arrangements, etc you needed. Every guest room at Sanctuary has a butler **The evening entertainment, which was at the theatre in the Grand Memories, was top notch! really enjoyed all the performances, especially o gastronomo buffet the Michael Jackson show. ** Resort grounds are very beautiful and well maintained. The pool at Sanctuary is crystal clear. ** The Cuban people are very friendly CONS: ** Coming from Canada, Cuba is expensive. We had to buy sunscreen at the resort and it cost $45 CAD for a very small bottle so bring a lot and bring SPF 50 as that sun is intense! ** The food in general was not good. Best meal was at the Gourmet restaurant on the Grand Memories side. ** Service in the Sanctuary restaurant for breakfast is very very slow and only once was our order correct when it was brought to us. So if you have an excursion to get to give yourself an hour before. ** I was taken aback with some food safety issues. I saw table settings not completely cleared after guests left, the cutlery redistributed if they appeared not to have gas definition chemistry been used. I observed a waitress leave a toilet stall, walk right by the sink ( no washing ) and go right back to work in the restaurant. Maybe management should review hygiene. There was a large spill in the middle of the restaurant, staff put a chair over most of it and continued to work around it, take guests around it for electricity voltage in india about 15 minutes. Then it was finally cleaned up. Glad no one slipped on that tile floor. ** If you actually want a beach or pool chair, you need to set your alarm and get out there to mark it by 6:30/7:00 am or there will be no chairs for you. Ridiculous. The hotel needs to take some control over how long chairs have a towel gas 02 on them before anyone actually sits on them. Cruise ships have rules, so can the resort. I saw a couple have towels or belongings on 8 chairs…. 2 in the sun and 2 in the shade at both the pool and beach. ** The Sanctuary is adults only and that is fantastic but it is sleepy. Not much pool entertainment except for 2 sessions of aqua gym and music is pretty low key. Just because we’re adults doesn’t mean we don’t want to have a high energy fun day
