Remember, we’re talking elegance here and my humble opinion. My favorite gas national average 2008 bolt action military rifle is actually the No4 Mk II Enfield. Supremely functional, tough, and badass looking. But its lines, design aesthetics, and wood to metal fit simply can’t be compared to a pre war 1903 Springfield or a pre / post war M1 Garand. And the Krag Jorgensen? Forget it

I Love the Enfield action…. simple , effective electricity and magnetism worksheets 4th grade and durable. I have to disagree heartily on the krag and especially the 03 boondoggle. It’s total lack of ergonomics was it’s typically teutonic downfall.
