Aspen Snowmass offers many events throughout the year that shouldn’t be missed! This list below highlights a few of them. As residents here since 1992, we have attended many of these events and are happy to help you plan a great vacation when you book with us.

The Aspen-Snowmass area has 300-plus days of sunshine a year, making it easy for guests to enjoy the great outdoors. As a year-round mountain vacation destination, Aspen-Snowmass welcomes vacationers to ski, snowboard and tube in the winter, and bike, hike and raft in the summer – just to name a few activities. In Aspen-Snowmass, there’s always something fun to do outdoors.

Plan an Aspen-Snowmass ski vacation and have access to Snowmass Mountain’s 3,300-plus skiable terrain, including Burnt Mountain Glades, High Alpine and the Cirque, all ideal for experts. Beginner and intermediate skiers will have a blast on the Cascade, Funnel Bypass and Sneaky’s trails. Visitors can also take ski and snowboard lessons, which are available for those 2 years and older.

Additionally, the Snowmass area houses three terrain parks with more than 100 features that helped it win a spot on Transworld Snowboarding Magazine’s Top 10 Parks for 2017. Tubing is also a fun activity for the family, as Snowmass offers multiple lanes at The Meadows at Elk Camp.

Venture from your Snowmass vacation rental to hike the trails, take a mountaintop yoga class, or bike your way through the area. Visitors will find a variety of bike rentals available, including cruisers, road bikes, and mountain bikes for both downhill and cross-country. The Snowmass Bike Park – open from late June to select dates into October – is a must for all riders. The park features more than 2,700 feet of downhill trails suitable for all ages and skill levels. Other popular summer activities include mountain tours, camping, fishing, kayaking, ballooning, paragliding, golf and horseback riding.

Most know the Aspen-Snowmass area as an outdoors haven, but there’s way more to this Colorado destination. One top place to visit on your Aspen-Snowmass vacation is Snowmass Village, once a ranching community that has been transformed into a destination resort. Here, guests will find dozens of shops to browse. Examples of retail options include apparel and clothing, athletic equipment, grocery stores, jewelry, art and, of course, plenty of places to souvenir shop.

Your Snowmass vacation rental also provides proximity to more than 30 restaurants. Visitors will find coffee houses, carryout options, and plenty of restaurants to sit down and have a meal with friends and family. With a focus on flavor, menus spotlight some of the best of European, Cajun, Japanese, Italian, and Mexican, as well as several Colorado-inspired cuisines.

No Aspen-Snowmass vacation will feel complete without attending at least one event. Celebrating the best of fun, food and entertainment, Snowmass hosts many annual events for the whole family. In the winter, guests can attend Thanksjibbing Rail Jam, partake in Snowmass Holiday Fun, and start the year off right at the New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade and Fireworks. Summer brings live outdoor concerts every week, featuring musicians in classical and bluegrass, as well as Snowmass Summer of Free Music Series. These concerts draw thousands from all over, and kids will have a blast at the Kids’ Zone, while parents kick back and relax.
