Port Clyde was the perfect getaway location deep into Maine, along the famous coastline, and a million miles from civilization grade 6 science electricity test! The house was incredibly well furnished and, at the time of our visit, felt newly refurbished. The location was fabulous both in terms of the water views and proximity to the village center; we walked most evenings for supplies and lobster. We spent most of our time on the large deck, in the well stocked kitchen or in the comfortable sitting room. It was expensive for the week but we certainly did not feel overcharged. It was a high end property worthy of the price … with a hot tub too! I agree with the review of the previous renter; the exit instructions seemed a little draconian and made us fear we’d have a fight on our hands to see our security deposit in one piece even with leaving the house as we’d found it! However that has not been a problem and it was returned in full in line with gas pain the contract. In summary – I would very much recommend this property – it lived up to its price. Veronika, the property manager, was also excellent. From the beginning with the reservation and throughout our stay she was always responsive and helpful.
