Not up to hampton standards – review of hampton inn spring hill, spring hill, fl – tripadvisor gas unlimited

the corridors on the second floor were also dim and the carpet against the walls was dirty and need cleaned. more so like an inch or two from the walls. it looks like the vacuum just didn’t get any closer and no one took the time to sweep it manually. it looks bad and unkept

the doorway going… it took THREE ROOMS before we finally agreed to stay we were gifted the room for business or trust me, we would have left. we have notified the company they may want to re-think using this Hampton We arrived for a business trip and checked in later in the evening. upon arrival we were greeted promptly and professionally. we were not greeted as a Hampton Honors member. Not given water or cookies, or snack. the lobby was clean and inviting. the lighting on the main floor by the elevator is very poor the left elevator was dirty (see photo) and the elevators are quite slow. the corridors on the second floor were also dim and the carpet against the walls was dirty and need cleaned. more so like an inch or two from the walls. it looks like the vacuum just didn’t get any closer and no one took the time to sweep it manually. it looks bad and unkept when we got to the room we were greeted by a bug in one of the beds in the first room we went down and were given keys for a second room nearby and that room had its issues too…no electricity on the bedstead. no light, no outlet to plug in phone, no clock we went down and were given our third and final room no bugs and it had electricity so we stayed put (see pictures) the doorway going into the bath was filthy with not only rust but dried food, the door is all chipped, the ceiling light had bugs in it, the tub had chunks of porcelain missing, the soap holder was stained yellow (its a white tub) and there was mold in the corner of the tub… we were checking out very early in the morning and an elderly man from down the hall was walking to the elevator. he told me that he flushed his toilet and the contents spewed all over the floor and he was on his way to tell the front desk. this hotel, in my opinion, simply does not stand up to the Hampton standards i have become accustomed to. i do agree it is in a convenient area while traveling. the i re-visit the area i will not be staying here. We visited this hotel for two nights using our Hilton honors points. The points per room ratio was very low due to some renovation that was in progress (so it was a very good deal for us) but I will say that there is nothing in view,renovation-wise, that would disturb a potential guest. check in was friendly simple and easy…I requested a room with microwave and fridge and also a newly renovated room if one was available and I wasn’t disappointed in the room overall. It had the requested microwave and fridge, both of which worked well. I could see that the room had been recently painted. The bed felt updated and was on the firm but very comfortable side with nice crisp white linens. Some of the fixtures -like the lamps -still need to be updated but that didn’t bother me. The AC unit seemed to struggle with the moisture level in the room even though the temperature outside was cool and dry. Overall we were very happy with the room and we did partake in the free breakfast which offered eggs and sausage among other things like waffles fruit and yogurt. There was a tray of cookies in the lobby when we arrived as well. The location is very good if you are visiting wiki Wachee springs! Parking around the hotel is not an issue. There are many restaurants in the very close vicinity to the hotel to choose from. I did not see any other hotels in the vicinity so I would recommend this one if you are visiting the area and want to stay at a chain venue. Oh & Our first night after we arrived we did eat at outback steakhouse which is a few miles north on 19 and I would highly recommend it the service was awesome! Enjoy your trip to the area it is a beautiful place to visit!
