I take pride in Customer Service. I treat people as I would like to be treated. I am easily reached and take care of business in a timely manner. Take a moment to read my reviews, you’ll see that my past guests were pleased with their service.

After visiting the other islands, we fell in love with the Big Island. The Hawaiian culture and slower pace is where we would like to retire and hang our hat. Living in Los Angeles for 50 years has worn us out. I can’t imagine driving without any traffic. Where people are very friendly, you can still leave your doors unlocked and enjoy the uncrowed beaches.

Living on the Big Island is about as close as it gets to being in heaven. The weather is outstanding, tempeture perfect. I myself love sport fishing, scuba diving, boating and just about every water-sport there is making Kona a perfect place to live.

There are plenty of beachs close by and many more surrounding the Island. You just need to explorer. The underwater sealife is simply incredible, from Sea Turtles to Manta Rays, Black sand White sand beaches. If you just want some R and R, then you’ve came to the right place.

The fact that it’s only a 2 unit property makes for a great sense of privacy, and we loved that we could park just at the bottom of the stairs. The condo is also close to downtown Kona for easy trips in to town (by car) or about a 20 minute walk. We also highly recommend the lox sandwich on a "works" bagel from Green Flash Coffee (just a few buildings to the south of the condo).

The kitchen had everything we needed and we even got to keep up on our favorite show since HBO was available! We also really appreciated having beach chairs and a cooler to borrow for trips to the beach. The air conditioning felt amazing as it was overcast but still hot and humid for most of our stay.

The decor is beautiful – but if there was one little nit-pick, as larger/taller people we found the living room furniture uncomfortable – the cushions weren’t enough to keep from feeling the hard wooden frame on the sofa and side chairs. If you’re petite than might not be an issue for you. Definitely not a deal breaker though

My husband and I stay at Kona Luana for a month every year, and every year it gets better and better. The location is perfect — about a 7 minute walk from Honl’s Beach and a 10 minute walk from downtown Kailua-Kona, and a few minutes drive from grocery stores, Keauhou, etc. There’s dedicated parking at the foot of the stairs, which is really convenient (there are condos in Kona where the parking is quite a hike from the actual unit). Inside the home, the kitchen has absolutely everything you’ll need, plus a full size gas grill outside. Every time we’ve ever thought, "Oh, I wonder if we have…" we look around the kitchen and find it! It’s incredibly well equipped. Upstairs the two bedrooms/bathrooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean; you really do feel like you’re staying at a resort. The owner, Mark, is responsive to any questions or concerns, and his housekeepers are ready to assist at a moments notice if there’s anything amiss.

If that was everything Kona Luana had to offer, it would be a bargain. But on top of everything, you also get one of the most amazing views anywhere along Ali’i Drive! You are right on the water, and the sound of the waves permeates the entire home. It is heavenly! We’ve see whales, dolphins, turtles, and even a manta ray from the lanais. You’ll look at the photos here and think you know what to expect, but nothing prepares you for it. We stayed at many different condos in Kona before finding Kona Luana, and we can save you some time: THIS IS THE BEST!

I cannot give higher praise for this condo. It is exactly as pictured. The side by side layout of the condo meant we heard very little neighbor noise. The ocean being so close helped drown out road noise on Ali’i Drive (and it was wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the waves at night).

This condo is in a very convenient location for the restaurant district of Ali’i Drive. My husband, my 4-year old daughter and I walked there a few times. It’s less than a mile away. It is also within close driving distance to shopping centers and strip malls. The condo was well stocked with beach accessories (boogie boards, chairs, coolers, etc).

The owner, Mark, was SO wonderful to work with. The few times I had questions I was able to text him and I received answers extremely quickly. He is everything a renter wants in an owner. I would absolutely rent from him again and will encourage any friends and family traveling to the Big Island to rent this condo. I give this rental 10 stars. 5 simply isn’t enough praise.
