Erin leads DLF’s efforts to raise funds from foundation and corporate sources. She brings more than 18 years of experience in fundraising to the organization, having worked with such nonprofits as Outward Bound USA, Center for Communication, and The Paley Center for Media, where she secured several federal preservation grants and established relationships with some of the nation’s largest foundations. She is thrilled to bring her expertise to DLF to increase support for its impactful programs and to give the lifelong tool of TM to those who need it most. Rece brings over twenty years of experience to DLF with a background in executive support, customer service, operations, and special events. Sasha Kamini Parmasad (MFA, Columbia University), author of the consciousness-based poetry collection No Poem, has been working within the space of Consciousness & Culture for over a decade as an activist, educator, director, award-winning writer and visual artist. She began publicly/professionally engaging this space at the age of six, performing her father’s conscious compositions on a national scale in Trinidad and in New Delhi, India. She brings more than 20 years of meditation experience to DLF, and has designed curriculum and taught writing, multi-arts, and meditation/personal development courses at Columbia University, Sesame Workshop, Harlem Children’s Zone, and in underserved communities in NYC and Trinidad. electricity and circuits ppt Special projects with DLF have taken her from inner city schools in Jamaica to schools on the south side of Chicago. Her work is governed by the deep belief that all people deserve an equal opportunity to grow and reach their full potential in life.

Yanira Funes has over a decade of experience in the finance industry and extensive experience in the daily operation of systems and procedures in a corporate setting, including technical support and expertise in business management, administrative, and managerial support (Sumitomo Bank of California, The Getty Museum, CSUN). She studied accounting at Santa Monica College, but her desire to complete her education in a timely manner led her to Maharishi University of Management (MUM), where she graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Health and in Vedic Science. She also has a master degree in Vedic Science. She learned the technique of Transcendental Meditation while at MUM and it transformed her life in many positive ways, as a result she decided to become a certified instructor of The Transcendental Meditation Program so that she could give this gift to others.
