At the Hilton Head Island Beach and Tennis Oceanfront Resort (number one rated family resort on the island)enjoy the gorgeous oceanview and sunrise on Hilton Head Island while residing in our completely renovated one bedroom, one bath villa. Our accommodation in Hilton Head Island Beach and Tennis Resort has light decor, sleeps six and is fully furnished. It has a new kitchen, a new tile floor and new vanity and medicine cabinet in the bathroom.

Bunk beds are built into the wall in a private hallway in the villa. It has a Sealy queen size bed. It is designated as non-smoking and the resort does not allow pets. A fishing lagoon and a nice large playground are within close proximity. The resort has the largest oceanfront pool on the island and the pool can be seen from the private balcony.

Walk the 12 miles of wide, sandy, white beaches or enjoy a day of golf, bicycling, tennis, or shopping. The island is renowned for its restaurants, specialty shops, outlet malls and golf courses. The tropically landscaped resort is located on the island’s extensive paved bicycle trails.

Being able to see the waves and the sunrise over the water from the balcony is great. We even got pictures of the full moon rising on the Atlantic Ocean with its light spreading out over calm waters our first night… Beautiful. A leisurely 2 minute walk to the beach makes this an outstanding place to stay.

The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and blankets clean. There were more towels than we needed and all were spotless. The stovetop and toaster worked great. We did not use the oven or coffeemaker. There was plenty of hot water for the two of us although the shower head should be cleaned or replaced soon. There was ample furniture for the two of us. The microwave should probably be replaced soon, it had some obvious repairs to the interior cooking chamber.

I am not sure the cleaning staff takes as much time as they should? While the place was mostly very clean, I used the broom once and had to clean a ball of hair off it and pick up a number of dust bunnies. We washed all the silverware, glasses, dishes and pans before we used them… Although I will admit we are a bit particular about that stuff and probably would have washed them even if they did not have spots on them.

My only concern is we were not forewarned that the resort was undergoing renovations which meant not being able to park near our room some days, having to move our car at their request, and putting up with the aerial lifts and the constant safety beeping. The poor people beneath us had the lift blocking their view through the window. I believe the construction company could have been more considerate of people’s vacations. We also lost our water for a day due to pipe repairs and were told to go elsewhere to use the facilities and we ended up having to eat out instead of doing our own cooking.

We were there to enjoy watching our daughter compete in the Spring Fest Tennis Tournament. These minor inconveniences could not detract from the super location and value. Vickie was also easy to reach. She had even contacted us to let us know the water was going to be turned off. If our daughter is in the tournament next year we would love to return, it is a great place to stay. I highly recommend this place to our friends!
