My family and I have vacationed in Destin for the past 6 years. All of our stays have been memorable. What makes a stay memorable to us is when our kids say, "Can we just leave our house and live in this one?" Our four kids range from 5 -15 and we come from Texas where we live in 4,700 square ft. home. When we pulled into the neighborhood and crossed the wooden bridge and perfectly done landscaping the anticipation to get to the home continued to build. When we pulled up and opened the garage door and entered the home, it was like we won an HGTV dream house! I mean, the décor, the floor plan, the bedrooms, living areas and kitchen were perfect! The backyard was an oasis, and most of our time was spent out in the back.

During our stay, there was construction next door, but that didn’t bother us. The only set back if I can even call it that are the planter pots near the pool have a water line in it, and with the rain and water mixed the pot doesn’t drain therefore mosquito larvae was heavy.

Aside from that, this was the first time that we had an opportunity to bike ride as a family and it was an awesome experience. We thought the ocean would be in walking distance and while it is if you take the trail, it would be a hike if you have little ones. So it depends on your life style.

As for location the only drawback is from 30A up into Destin on 98 the water is crystal clear aqua and around the area of this home the water is clear but not a tropical color during most times. But hey, who cares about that when you get to enjoy a stunning home like this.

There was a TV for everyone and Samsung’s at that! We couldn’t have asked for more out of a vacation home. The best part was reading the story of the home owners and being able to add ours to the guest book was the icing on the cake. Guess what? We’re going back for sure!!!
