The Range Rover Sport is powered by a supercharged 4.2-litre all- aluminium Jaguar engine AJ-V8 producing 390 hp (290 kW) and 550 N⋅m (410 lb⋅ft). Performance upgrades for the SVR including the p gasol 5.0L supercharged V8 dragged out of the Jaguar F-Type, with a power output of 550 hp (410 kW) and torque output of 502 lb⋅ft (681 N⋅m) the transmission has been programmed to shift 50% quicker and to keep the torque converter locked up once its in second gear.
